That would be a great idea to get rid of them. You have a retarded Chief, a known pervert, sexiest Noah Simpkins and a few real dumb asses working there. Kind of reminds you of Hanging Rock Hu. What can we do to get rid of them any suggestions. No police is better than what we have now. If we sexually harrased people we'd get arrested why dont they arrest Noah everyone in Coal Grove knows this. He did this at his other jobs I have been told by some Deputys he is not a likable person. The Chief gets complaints all the time and refuses to do anything about it.

Honestly what does the C.G. Police Dept. do?? Have they ever solved a crime? Did they ever catch the guy who "ran around the block"? How much money could be saved by eliminating the dept.?(Besides sheriff deputies are always sitting st the Corner Diner.) Who needs 'em?

I am very disappointed in the chief of police of Coal Grove. Asked him to speak to youth/chldren for a program. Nothing, did not return phone call, nothing.

If everyone who thinks the C.G. cops are a drain on our tax dollars would move, then there would be no one left to pay their salaries. I've lived here longer than they have been cops. Followed one from Ashland to the Corner Diner where he met up with his deputy buddy. They spend a lot of time in Ironton.
In all seriousness, consider a consolidation of law enforcement with the Sheriff's dept. or even Ironton police. Considering the "work" they do, we would not be losing that much and would save an appreciable amount of money.

he did a fantastic job of getting alot of drugs out of cg!=)

Haters always gotta have someone to b*tch about! Maybe if they had a life they wouldn't have time to be so concerned w everything everyone else is doing!

Besides. You don't have to live in cg. Move. Please. No one likes you anyways....

you know for a fact he did anything wrong??.....or did you get your info from another trustworthy forum on Topix?....

Since you've lived in cg longer than the cops, maybe it is time for you to relocate and find better ppl to protect you. But I'm thankful chuck helped clean up the streets in the area of coal grove I live in as much as he did. Makes me feel safer with out ppl coming and going from my neighbors house all hours of the night!

Unless you know accusations are true make yourself look a little smarter and shut up.

Chuck Wheeler cleaned up the streets of Coal Grove??? What planet do you live on?? Like I said, if everyone who thinks our police dept. is a joke would move then no one would be here to pay their salaries.
Chief Spurlock seems to be O.K.(from what I've seen). I appreciate the fact that he directs traffic in the mornings and has someone there in the afternoons. I'm not so sure that patrolling the halls of the schools is appropriate. Do we really want a police state in our schools? Anyway, if more teachers patrolled the halls during class change and lunches there would be less trouble.
However, we do not need police officers with questionable character around our children. Do you really want someone accused of some of the things that our policemen supposedly have done to be around your little girl?? Police should be the ones our children turn to if they feel threatened. Would you feel safe telling your 13 year old daughter to go to some of these policemen.

I know most of them personally and yes. I would feel good about my daughter going to them for help. Half the stories you hear are from someone who got caught or didn't get their way so they twist stories around to make cgpd look like bad guys. But cgpd has been there every time I've called on them .....I'm sure they've had bad apples just like you'd have everywhere.

I just have one thing to say about the CG police...I really hate that when they directing traffic and someone goes through when they are not supposed to the policeman screams at the top of his lungs and I have even seen him hit the top of the hood.I am sure these people are not intentionally not listening to the cop. I think it may scare little ones to see what is supposed to be our protectors act like that. If I was a child in trouble I would not go to a man who acts like that. If he is patrolling near a bar or something like that i could understand but not at a school crosswalk. When I have witnessed this behavior it has never been to let a child cross but just to stop traffic for the buses to come out. I know people should be paying attention and listen to the cop but like I said earlier I think it is not intentional.
CG Cops give the harshness around kids a break!!!

Ok so you would rather that they didn't raise their voice to some moron that is soo self absorbed that they are not paying attention to what they are doing and may possibly run over a child trying to cross the street or into a vehicle picking kids up?

These guys are theives and crooks and have been for years. They pull people over just to steal their money in their little Monkey Court at the jail. What joking wanna be's. Remember that chief of police that beat that guy to death while the victim was still in handcuffs and they found him dead in a culvert. And that no count mayor. Get rid of all of them. Let the sheriff's dept and Ironton handle it. Coalgrove idiots are just that, and worse
