"State law requires smokers to stand at least 15 feet away from entrances, although home-rule municipalities can change the distance.

Central City and Black Hawk reduced the required distance to an inch. In the casino town of Cripple Creek, the restriction is still 15 feet."

H'mmm, 1" from the door? That should make the non-smokers happy every time that door is opened!!ROFL!!

It is not the fault of the casino owners nor the employees of the casinos that the Nanny state democrats in this state decided to ban a legal substance in public.

I applaud the government for fixing the problem with the intial ban on smoking. They should have never allowed casinos to be excluded from the smoking ban. You idiots don't seem to understand that the purpose behind the law is to help the employees that have to work in the smoke all day. Give them a break and quit being selfish. If you had a habit that didn't infringe on other people's rights (like the right to breather clean air) then you could do it wherever you wanted. The problem is smokers are the most inconsiderate people on the planet. They deserve what they get!

You have no more RIGHT to clean air, than a smoker has a RIGHT to smoke!! The only RIGHTS being trod on, is the property owners!! They put up the money for a business, get the permits, pay the morgage, utilities, insurance, and, work to make a go of THEIR business. Then selfish people like you, get a illegal law passed telling them who they can serve. And this law proceeds to put many business' out of business just to give "you" what you want. And, you have the b*lls to say smokers are selfish??? Maybe you should look in the mirror! No one should have the right to tell a businessman whom he can serve... least of all, someone who has nothing to loose in the decision. But, before you start your little tirade... I don't smoke!!

The more strict the more debt. Look at our Government now. Too bad the smokers who do respect others are not acknowledged.

No kidding... They act as if we are all the same. Now granted, when all this irritated me the most, I sought revenge (tossing my butts out the window, standing too close to the doors, etc.) but that passed and now I am back to normal. I am considerate. Except when confronted in person when I am doing nothing wrong... then....watch out...

Make a list of the anti-smoking, anti free choice politicans and make sure they are removed from political office on the next election.

Any one who supports bans an high taxes on legal items are unamerican. Our forefathers fought and died for just this reason. People like you who willing to throw away our freedoms for some thing they do not like are Nazis.

I don't smoke but I believe everyone should have a choice. Smokers are being dictated what they can while drinkers can get as drunk as they want and get in their cars and may drive home. If their real lucky and make it with out killing someone else then they get up the next morning and start their crusade against smoker. What is the difference. Pass a law to stop selling booze and listen to the howl.
