Same experience as above. Not completely up front about insurance billing practices. Wanted to keep my credit card info on file and give them permission to charge to it if I didnt pay anything over and above insurance......

If you want to spend tons if cash in foot cream, shoes and arch supports, I would stay far away from this nut. Also, there is no privacy in the coal city office and the girls all have snotty attitudes. Guess u had a couple of bad experiences. Just my opinion though.

Personally, I was offended when they kept trying to sell me very expensive shoes and creams, being told I needed them in order to heal right. Also calling a girl with an ultrasound machine a physical therapy session. You should check your insurance to see if they billed for physical therapy. There is not a physical therapist there. Just a technition with an ultrasound machine and some gel!!

I think it is important to be cautious anytime there is an open sore. Always be checking with your Carlisle foot doctor to make sure everything is okay. Think how important your feet are to you. http://www.pinkerandassociates.com

You need to find the right foot doctor for sure. Some can be crooked but many are actually trying to help. I know a few that are really good men. I'd trust them, but they live far away from me. http://infootdocs.com

In this case, I agree for many reasons. Please get a second opinion before having a surgical procedure there. I had one and it was bad. Found out I could have done physical therapy as an alternative. He assured me I would heal properly and ended up with a mess of scar tissue that was worse than the original problem. It seemed more about the money, even telling me they required my credit card information on file in case I didn't pay my bill. Refused to give that up, and that should have been a huge red flag. No trust in the patient before a surgery date was even planned. Witnessed them talking patients into buying extremely expensive shoes, telling them they would not heal properly without them. Found the same shoes on amazon for less than half the cost. Medicare patients being talked into special creams and shoes that were "necessary" to heal properly. A few years later I went to work for a physical therapy company in Joliet. Boy did I learn that it was mostly a line of bull. Always get a second opinion when it comes to your feet. If you are a medicare patient always question if Medicare will cover 100% on any additional inserts, creams,.foot lifts as their mark up can be big. You can get moat of these items on Amazon at drastically reduced rates. Also found out they billled my insurance company under physical therapy for ultrasound. Different deductible that was not covered, so I got billed for 100%. They did not care to work with me on payments, which most doctors will. Thank goodness I did not give them my credit card info, I am sure that didn't work out well for some people.

My son just broke his foot while playing soccer. We don't think it isn't too bad but you never know so we want to take him to a foot doctor to check it out. Does anyone have any recommendations for a good foot doctor that is reputable?

.

Dr. Basile has offices in Plainfield & Bolingbrook, and surgical privileges at Joliet hospitals. Most up to date treatments, good, experienced staff, no nonsense, no unnecessary sales, efficient handling of insurance, straight forward & honest! Have used him for a variety of problems for several family members for a number of years. Highly recommend.

Be aware of the difference between a podiatrist, chiropodist, and an actual foot doctor who is trained & licensed as a foot surgeon--big difference! Most conditions require the latter to be properly corrected.
