So true. That is why we need to get the word out. Do not vote for an incumbent. Dems and GOP holding hands, calling each other FRIENDS, you don't get nothing done being old time friends. What is needed is TERM LIMITS... That would begin to turn things around. But it is a big circle that they have created the past 40 to 50 years. When the going was good they all hugged and kissed. Now that the going is tough, there are no tuff polyticians. They just want to be re-elected and enjoy their lives off of the taxpayers back.

I think success is so distained in this cultural environment that we are blind to the benefits of voting a success story to our states highest office. Most career politicians are losers and have nothing to show for their work except for lobbyist benefits for votes that went the right way for the privileged few. I am a union member that is disgusted with the union privileged clout. I am an American that likes that anyone with the brains and work ethic can make a success out of virtually nothing in a very short time. While America is fed intravenously the slow drip of dextrose lies. We need a candidate that can make the electorate proud and motivated. Is Rauner the one for the task? hmmmmm

So true. Career polyticians, lobbyist with pockets full of money, privileged few. The electorate are turning their heads or really don't know what it is to clock in on the job, WORK 8 hr days / or nights. US citizens DO WANT TO work for a living, want to be successful, and ethical in every way. But no, we have over-educated, as well as very wealthy individuals who get elected for the prestige. Is Rauner the one???? Is he the better of two evils!!!! Quinn had his chance and agreed, he inherited a mess, but the mess is still there. Plus he is digging deeper and deeper. Not good when trying to get out of the trenches.. Thank you for your union background. We don't want to go back to the 1930's...

So very, very sad as we do have so many hard working, ethical, and people of many faiths living good and respectable lives. And then to have corrupt leadership, both parties. What can we do!!!!!

NO ONE. They *ALL* suck. Rauner is the lesser of 2 evils but ALL politicians are slime. ALL of them. The so-called "Conservatives" are ANYTHING but. They are all money-hungry, power-hungry, self-centered, maniacal monsters. It is really sad what has become of this city, state and country. Our founding fathers are turning in their graves, Jesus is crying and God is about to leave us for our rebellion...

Rauner is a crook. His plan for Illinois is to take over, tear it apart, sell it off, close it down and move on ... and oh yeah, make a buck for himself in the process.

Quinn may be ineffectual but at least he's honest.

The real problem with Illinois is too many citizens like you who are too lazy or too stupid to do a little research on the candidates and issues before voting .. that's assuming you actually do vote. In fact, the majority of registered voters in Illinois don't even make it to the polls on election day. Most are too busy watching their favorites TV shows and whining about how bad things are.

Tears flowing. There is not a good and honest candidate. Quinn is not honest with the one time tax raise. And yes, he is ineffectual. Rauner is also a deceiving and dishonest candidate. So who do you vote for. The better of the two evils!!!

By the way, the measure for "term limits" that Rauner wants to put on the ballot is not just about term limits. It also changes the size of the Legislature and gives more power to the Governor.

Why does Bruce Rauner want more power?

So he can take over Illinois, tear it apart, sell it off, close it down and move on ... and oh yeah, make a few bucks for himself and his rich buddies in the process.

Save Illinois, vote Republican. I mean really... Madigan, Durbin, Quinn? They got us here & they keep us here. Time for a real businessman to dig in & get us moving.

As I repeat. Vote for the better of the two evils and live with four more years of an out of control state of Illinois. Shameful...
