It's obvious that you haven't been to the "ugly" and "rude" Berkot's in Braidwood and Wilmington..I'll shop at the Coal City any time...it's neat clean and the people are not falling over me with kindness but at least it's clean, esp. the meat dept. and bakery..

Are you talking about their Coal City store? The store was beautful. And the stuff I bought was cheap. I bought beverages and food for an event. The deli staff was great and so was the cashier. And the prices were great!$4.99 for a case of pepsi, and 2.99 for cases of water.Very good food from the deli. You must make better food at your job a McDonald's right?

I've always been happy with Berkots. I guess some people were born to complain. Get a life. Your attitude is your destiny!

The Berkot's in S. Wilmington has done a terrible job this last snowstorm cleaning the handicap parking area. Snow banks and ice where people are supposed to walk.

None of the Berkot's accept internet printed coupons. That in itself is enough to get me to drive to a non-Berkot store at least every few weeks.

They take internet coupons only if they scan.

As far as the parking lot, it was a FREAKIN BLIZZARD...give em a break. Why were you even out in it? To pick up beer or fried chicken?
to nope

If Confused does work there, I'm sure they will be happy that you shop elsewhere!

I have stop shopping there myself. The girls they have there have no clue of what's going on. Its a joke and trin to ask somebody where something is at forget it. And for this so called blizzard it wasnt that bad and everybody else had their park lot cleared. It just must have been really bad at that one store.

Berkots take NO internet coupons. I have had conversations with the managers about this and they are all very clear. NONE. ALL internet coupons scan, all have barcodes.

I'm talking about two weeks after the storm, like this last Saturday, not several days, but they had done no more cleanup since the initial shoveling they did.

How hard it must be to be as hateful as you, coupons.

Dave, what an intelligent and meaningful addition to the discussion. Thank you so much for pointing out that "coupons" is the "freaking idiot".

As far as the post about the parking lot, it did not say anything about being two weeks later. But again, "coupons" is the "freaking idiot".

Why don't you two look into fraudulent internet coupons and see why many grocery store chains, including Berkot's don't like to accept them.

Check out this site: http://www.cents-off.com/coupon-fraud-list.ph...

But of course, Berkot's is the "freaking idiot".

some people are never happy if you dont like Berkots go somewere else. wal mart has low prices but all there employees do is piss and moan about there job, go to jewel and pay out the ass for food. just be happy you have some place to shop. and other than D construction, berkots is one of the largest employers in CC. so coupons if you dont like berkots dont go there

Adolf, it wasn't me that said I didn't like Berkot's. Personally, I like the Coal City store. I watch the sales and make my purchases accordingly. The meat is always good and the butcher there is great. Cashiers say hello and smile, deli is nice, produce is great!

You are right that some people are never happy! I feel sorry for them. Life is too short to be miserable all the time.
I also think that you get what you give. If you're grumpy and rude, don't expect people to bend over backward to please you. Just my humble opinion :-)

Coupons sorry for the misunderstanding.Berkots meat is the best in the area, and thier butchers are the most helpful. I also watch the sales and must say they have really good sales, but i also shop the big box stores (aka: walmart/sams). Also people dont know the amount of donations berkots gives to this community for benifits and fire department spagetti supper, plus jobs. we all know that coal city has very little to offer so lets not run anymore business out of town lets make the best of what we have.
