I may be missing something, but all they want to do is run a forced main on the east property line of the club. They need 300' to do this. Why is the topic of hooking the club up to the city sewer even being discussed? The septic systems have been just fine up until now. It would be a major and costly undertaking to hook all the different bathrooms together to exit the club in one location.

Because the rumor mill is spreading the lie that the clubs septic systemS is a problem which couldn't be further from the truth. There are no issues with the systems out there nor has there been. On top of that, there are many systems out there, which one is the supposed problem? Let me guess,, all of them.

Allow the annex with the stipulation the clubs sewage will be connected for no fee for the next 99+ years. Take care of your neighbors and get something in return. If your board members haven't brokered a deal for the annexation along these lines, sounds like you need some new ones. Or just continue to be a bunch of whining biatches.
Sounds like a plan. I like your thoughts.
Why Do We Need A Change

Woodland Park, CO

#81 Dec 24, 2012
Have been following the comments here, and received my ballot to vote. My question is why do we need a change I read alot if comments on Mack and the board members, but what exactly are they doing so wrong that is impacting our club? And who do we vote for next and what are they going to do that will be any different and improve our club? It appears that no matter who is in these positions there always seem to be the same outcomes. Who do u all recommend? At this point, i will vote with the majority. Im torn. Im also abit concerned that we need to sign our ballots... And why is that? Doesnt seem right?

The only change that is needed is to get rid of speedboats and skiers. The cost is not worth having them at the club, insurance, erosion control and just the liability is way more than they are worth. Turn the whole club into a 5 mph zone for boats this way no shoreline will be eroded away and pontoons and fishing boats will be able to use big lake. And we wont have to worry about the highline lake and comed property.

This is a graet point, Why don't they charge fishing boats and pontoons to use the lake. Neither group pays anything to use the lakes, at least the skiers pay a yearly fee.....

and the skiers need to pay more for the damage they cause to te shoreline. money from dues stock fish so in a way fishing boats do pay and pontoons pay for thier docks. everyone pays for something with thier dues but we shouldnt have to pay for erosion caused by skiers. and with water levels so low and the sand bar that runs across main lake by guard shack just under the water level is it safe to ski or should board think about this?

I vote to just fill in the lakes and turn the club into a giant golf coarse. Better yet, lets sell it.

I say fill in all but one lake. The golf course will need a water hole like Sawgrass. Great idea Mack.

With the critizism I take who cares. This is what I get for all I have done. Vote for someone else then. I do not care. I would fill in ALL the lakes.

I didn't get my ballot...that's a bunch of BS that non-locals can't vote...it doesn't help to go to a meeting to get answers or to suggest changing something, you end up in the spin zone...guess I'll try again with the new board members.

We have about had it with this club. Apparently Tom doesn't have the same rules for everyone here. He tells us we can't keep our camper here, without staying in it, everyday. I see at least 10 right now that have been here for a LONG time! People have thier belongings leaning up on their camper, the grass is a foot high under it. Also, a couple of weeks ago, people were blowing off fireworks here in the club!! Not one thing was done about it. He gad to have heard it all. It was not just once they did it. Also, I see SO MANY docks vacated!!! Why are we waiting in a list when there are empty available docks????? Tom isn't doing his job here, its pure laziness. We had a problem with some old guy, Bob, cutting grass. He speed by our site so fast, he scared the crap out if our dog, who was on a lead near our fire pit. He starting getting snotty with me when I stopped him anout it we packed up and left. I'm so sick of how ignorant members and employees are here. This club is going to shit.

There always seems to sum favoritism with Tom & friends Bring it to a board member and address it at a meeting There are additional concerns that need to be looked into. G.V is a good contact:
Peggy is not the mngr and has no authority
Drinking n driving in the clubs vehicle is not acceptable
The clubs vehicles, tools and equipment should not be used for personal business and friends of the mngr
As a mngr responsible for the club members and childrens safety, a random drug test would reassure confidence in the mngrs position

Take ur concerns to the board
