Sure, and in this economy just add another 2-3k to the cost of a car. Even though I dont drink, I deserve to get punished.
How are you punished by getting all drunk drivers off the road?

Are you saying that your safety isn't worth 2-3k?

Paul Clymer is a radical religious zealot. I voted for him and I regret that decision. He wants to lower the blood alcohol limit to .025. That's about one beer. He also wants to have those devices installed in EVERY car. He's literally crazy about this!!
We don't want drunks driving and the state should not contribute to or benefit from it. If Paul Clymer really wants to do something, get Pennsylvania out of the booze business. The state should lead by example. But no, it wants to continue to profit from the sale of booze and then profit from the tax and fines the consumption generates. It's like a drug dealer arresting his drug addicted customers and then selling them drugs again. Pennsylvania is addicted to this money train and apparently does not want it to end.
Actually, Paul is not a Religious Zealot, he is just trying to help his constituents to the best of his ability. I for one think that the interlock on the first DUI is a good thing, if they change the current standard for installation. Currently you have to attend your ARD and Rehab classes prior to the installation on the second DUI. This leads to numerous third DUI's with the mandatory Felony conviction and 10 year loss of Driving license. If the person has 2 in under 5 years they have a problem.

Yeah its a pain in the butt to use the interlock, but here is the fact of the matter, YOU SCREWED UP! Every grade school child knows about DUI, there is no excuse. period. end of story.
