Why would you want Ruidoso to handle building permits plumbing permits and electric permits when they charge more for these permits an administrative fee on top of that and higher fees in the three mile area outside the city limits.

Everyone in the county will remember how Lee and the mayor refused to protect the public with respect to Fire Inspections that were recently conducted in midtown businesses. Futhermore there are many hundred fire and building code violations that exist throughout buildings managed by the Village of Ruidoso that have never been fixed by Lee or the mayor. Ruidoso should get its own act together first before it tries to take over inspections in the county. Debbie Lee refuses to enforce fire codes within the Village of Ruidoso. So why would the county allow itself to be subjected to the same pathetic standard of code enforcement that the village currently supports?
