People who use the organizations mentioned should support them...maybe their boards should get of their butts and do some fund raising

Personally I will be voting no on this. I am not a fan of more taxation, when they should budget more responsibly for these projects.

I will vote no too. The problem with this tax, and others, is that one can argue the merits of any tax for any purpose, and in the end all we are is taxed to death. These commissioners need to learn restraint and fiscal responsibility. Government should not support every single project and issue out there. Let these folks find a way to support their project or let it go under. That's how it is in the real world.

Something tells me you will continue to change names and post about this ad nauseum.
Quit trying to change people's decision on this issue. I will vote yes and you cant change that.
Too bad, huh?!

The truth is Otero County is in a financial mess with Susan Flores at helm spending on many pet projects - ask for the revenue numbers at her recycling boondoggle.$1 per tin can recycled?

Two tax raises on their votes in the last 18 months. Then Flores and Herrell want a new tax to try to cover their bad decisions. Please vote for anyone else in tow years. They have broken what was a county in great financial condition.

We cannot afford their liberal ideas.

Commissioner: The budget was not cut. There were $700,000 worth of projects eliminated from the budget. The commissioners are keeping the same old spending budget you operate on now and praying for a new tax approved by the voters so you can "free up" more money for pet projects. The old elks building was going to be a homeless shelter and now it will be an office for a county employee?(eliminated $50,000 from the budget)so it will now sit empty as always.

I can think of several more places to cut spending that will actually benefit the county.

I bet if you would go through their spending just once you would come up with several of the same Items I did.

if you don't then you're part of the problem.
