A recall is in order. The people are absolutely right and should be upset. There are families with no food, clothing, heat or electricity. Many live in poverty. There are many other important things than salaries for Tribal Officials. What they are being paid now won't effect their standard of living. Many receive retirement or other income, so a pay cut is in order, not increase. Why not look at what other Tribes pay their elected Officials and not compare to a for profit resort. Besides, IMG personnel are overpaid - this isn't Las Vegas. We need money from the IMG to fund Education, affordable Housing (not HUD), roads repair, Natural Resources, alternative Fuels, Health Care for Children/Elders. And we don't appreciate threats when we exercise our right to free speech!

What is wrong with these politicians. And shame on the six Council Members who voted for the temporary salary. It was a no brainer, NO increase. Now we know who not to vote for. And what is a temporary salary increase, please explain?
The people come first. Let us decide who needs pay increases, not politicians. Most of us only make peanuts and barely get by, now we're finding out that other employees make six figures or more. It's time to look at all the salaries. Why not make them public to Tribal Members and let us decide what they should make.
The Council should be fixing our roads so our vehicles already in bad shape don't fall apart. Find ways to lower butane, gas prices, and cost of living. We need jobs. The elders need housing, wood, roads graded, etc. Take some of that money and subsidize the income of our elders who probably don't get anything.
People voice your opinion. We need to fix what the previous Administration did, not make it worse.

Nothing new about greed:

Experience demands that man is the only animal which devours his own kind, for I can apply no milder term to the general prey of the rich on the poor.
