Wasn't this the same guy ten years ago that was indicted by a grand jury and never went to trial?

I finally understand that this is what the fine citizens of New Mexico do...we elect crooks and idiots. Our only excuse is that "they are nice to me" and then we complain bitterly when these dishonest & arrogant civil servants continue to treat us with contempt because we elected them. The very definition of insanity, isn't it?

I find it not so funny, just like your father inlaw, you apply the laws that you are not so impartial to. If you had any idea how laws are applied, you would know you can't be so partial to your good ol boy brand of justice that your position affords.

I have been in front of Judge Lee several times: once I think was for failure to observe posted recommendations on speed. Turns out those are not recommendations, who know? The other times was as a character witness, especially when I was pastoring. The one thing I found with Lee is that he trully listens. You may not agree with the ruling or you may be dancing in the parking lot sticking your tongue out at the cop. However, when you leave wether it is to set up payment arrangements or celebrate your victory at home you leave at least feeling like you got to tell your side of the story.
This is not the case with other Judges.

Why the anti-semitic pictorial? are you the Jim Jones that used to be a minister many years past that got divorced and has a colorful history?

Your words show your friendship with this man. However he was helped to get his position by his father in law and predessor Judge Barber.

A lot of us are familiar with the story that goes with that. There are some very interesting special interests that ought to be looked into by the city and possibly the federal government.

I say, vote in new blood. If the last person in position couldn't get it right, why pay them to continue in folly? Let's keep voting in new people until we meet a person of quality and integrity.

Alamogordo is littered with people that need to be booted out of their positions. People need to register to vote and go do it. Nothing changes until we get off our lazy butts and make a difference people. Let's exercise that freedom that other countries don't all get to do.

As one person we can do little. As a united voice we can move mountains.

Response to "A lil common sense is all"
First the name Baruch and the picture are in no way anti-semitic. Baruch was Jerimiah's scribe. The lowest of the low. So close to my position.
As far as former pastor. Yes. When I was severly injured at work my wife left me and I could no longer read due to a brain injury. A colorful past? That would be fighting for custody of my children and angering Jim Counts and John Blansett. I am not sure what your questions about me have to due with anything other than trying to discount my opinion.
Yes Judge Barber helped Steve Lee get appointed to the bench, but then Judge Lee had to win the next election on his own. His years of service at Alamogordo Department of Public Safety certianly helped. He was a great Chief of Police. If I called Steve Lee or Truman Nix I always got a call back. That kind of "Protect and Serve" gets you elected to other offices in the future. It is not as you suppose, a friendship with Steve Lee. It is a proven track record with Steve. He has been there to serve the community since the 70's.
I am not a person who stands up for Judges, read some of the stuff I have written on Jim Counts. Judge Lee has proven himself over the years.

Mr STEVE LEE is part of the good old boys. He is no better than the convicted crooks. The only difference is he has the law to allow him to get away with it.

Stay out of trouble and keep all your "ducks" in a row and you will never get to go in front of The Judge! Simple, isn't it!! I guess some of you never had dealings with Barber or Bradley, from what I have heard.

Hell, if you got in trouble with Judge Bradley, he'd just make you paint his boat.

Lee/Barber, bank, police department, etc.

All part of same group that controls the town's economics and has for generations. Barber married into the group- they made him judge when Bradley died. Barber 'swings' both ways.

Don't anger B 34 or 1st Nat'l (or any of their extended compadres) and Lee won't bother you much. Extended control (duck and cover) from Crimmins (registered sex offender) to decades of the same. The group covers itself through law - police\judge.

Throw the bum out. Keep his worthless brother out of the sheriffs' office. Get rid of all those crooks.
