Caught that did you.....nope, they gave me 43, 14 in each magazine and one in the chamber. But impact probably has it right, everyone would demand more time because of the ander's thing. I don't believe the manner in which it happened would be relevant. If so, three hots and a cot at tax payer's expense, and I'll still be able to collect SSI when I turn 65, wooo hooo!!!
And other's may not say it, but I will, Impact and Queen, I may not agree with what you say, but I'll give you props for being consistent.(not trying to kiss b***, really i'm not)

Never said the guy Anders shot wasnt scum. What I did say is the justice syestem is screwed up. Anders served a mere year. If he wasnt wearing a badge he would be spending the rest of his life in prison. Anders, by shooting the AB the way he did is trash also.
worse- he should be held to a higher standard- these guys are supposed to 'protect' us- even if from ourselves-those two that got sentenced for co-conspirating-will be thankful later that they didn't do what they had planned- 15 years /21 will go by quickly- anders 1 year was simple-but eternal damnation awaits him-I'd rather be the other guys- its just a shame that everything went horribly wrong that night- God help them.

and the two that shot and killed unarmed tularosa man-after claiming suspect answered door with gun?! if that was the truth, he would have been shot in his doorway, rather than on the other side of his fence while trying to flee to avoid arrest-for a warrant. and the one that shot and killed unarmed guy on bicycle in cloudcroft, after claiming shots were fired-only his shots were fired- they are taking revenge for their fellow officers-but its simply not their place to do so- much less get away with it!(they didn't get away with anything) it should be mandatory to have sunday school 101 upon becoming deputized.

some peoples ignorance is unreal and they see and believe what they want to see. this cop is a low life scumbag coldblooded killer and if the ABT gets him, it will be no loss to anyone. he is no better. all you people that are defending him are bleeding hearts that bring down this country by allowing cops like this to go free because you see it as morally right for the man to have been killed. THAT IS NOT HOW OUR SYSTEM WORKS!!!! he broke the law. he is a killer. and anyone saying he shot him accidently, you still believe in the tooth fairy too? he was not flipping the man over and accidently shot him. the video is clear enough to see he is standing over the man and the gunflash is far enough away from the ground to see he is clearly not trying to flip him over at the time. you must all be tripping on acid if you see anything different in this video. he should be in prison for life. end of story. hes a cold blooded killer. an officer of the law, not the judge jury and executioner wich he chose to be. HE IS A MURDERER REGARDLESS OF WETHER OR NOT YOU THINK WHAT HE DID WAS MORALLY RIGHT!!!! all that said, on a moral standpoint, i cant say i would have done the same as him, as i am sure many would, difference is, id be in prison for life, and he is called a hero. its a sad day for the legal system. then again, what day isnt. this country is going down the tubes and its people defending this man allowing it to happen. you should all be ashamed. end of story.

Let me see. AB trash or dedicated law enforcement officer.

Gonna have to go cop on this one. If you like the odds on skinheads my advice is go hang out with them, don't go to sleep though.

Anders was a hero, and anyone who feels different is a fool not to be believed.

Hey, I know: LET'S HAVE A QUIZ

Now, without looking it up (and I know you will):

- What was the name of the defenseless woman Flippen murdered?

- How many times did Flippen shoot the woman while she begged for her life?

- What was Flippen in prison for prior to his foolish parole?

- What was the first name of the little girl who wathced her mommy murdered in front of her eyes?

- What did Flippen plan to do with the little girl had the police not intervened?

- When Flippen killed one of the police officers, where did he get the gun?

- How much meth did Flippen have in the house?

- How many police officers were the AB planning on killing?

- How long have you been a clueless POS?

Anders murdered that animal plain and simple. I can't say that I wouldn't have done the same. He made one mistake and that was positioning his vehicle where he did.

Let's not leave out separating from his partner.

The video is kind of inconclusive. It is not clear at all that the murderer was shot by anything other than accident. I actually believe it was accidental. A lot of people have read a lot into what was information, not evidence, and let self righteous indignation take over, instead of common sense. Another hero, 2 of them actually, went down the pipe unnecessarily as far as I am concerned. Hope I never am in trouble and some of the limp wrist posters on TOPIX, especially the pretend supporters of law enforcement, are my back-up.

It was no accident. If you knew him you would know it was no accident. He was acting on pure emotion and did what needed to be done. Read his book "A Cop's Prison Letters to Cloudcroft" it will give you a little insight on this man. He took an oath and violated that oath. He as well as I could live with that violation if it hadn't been for the video. Sometimes you just have to put down a rabid dog. The world is better for it. Anders is not.

You could be, and probably are, right.

I guess what sticks in my craw is all the self-righteous hypocrisy of some people in response to what the cops did that night. I cannot get the pretend outrage from some of these clowns, speaking in daylight and from a secure safe position, who if faced with the same situation would cower, peee their pants, and hope police responding to their frantic 911 call was someone like Anders.

Seems to me the system failed all the way along, between the courts, prisons, paroles, etc, and it was left to a cop on the beat to be smarter and better in 30 seconds, than all those learned clowns who had years to make a decision.

Having said that, I think you and myself are in agreement. Had it been me,I would have burnt that tape and told them all deal with it, while conducting their witch hunt investigation without the video and my statement: Fired upon by a killer, successfully returned fire; the end.

Sometimes part of being a hero is taking the fall. From Nathan Hale, to Wyatt Earp to Melvin Purvis to Billy Anders I guess some things never change.

Thank you for your public service Mr. Anders.

The world is a better place without Flippen.
