This family were true pioneers of the area. Yvone is such a good person and a credit to us all. I never had the opportunity to travel to their ranch headquarters but you could always see just before White Sands,on the left or South side, it always had a mysterious look to it. So neat, and I know they(Olivers) had a good life there.

Awesome to see REAl pioneer women and families being written about. So much of what you can find is of people not moving to these parts till 1900's.

If anyone really knew this family they would know that all they have done since their time here up to now is take our town for everything that they can. You just can not name a thing that they have given back to this town without something in it for themselves?

If more people did as much for their community as the Oliver family, especially Yvonne, this would be a much better place. I've known them long enough to know that they participate in local government when most people just complain ,and do nothing. None of them are looking for fame or fortune at the expense of others. They do try to educate and help others through the maize we call politics. We are fortunate to have such a family in our area.

A wonderful article about a truly special lady. GB and Yvonne Oliver are the two most honest, hard working, and generous people I have ever known. Thank you for recognizing a true class act like Yvonne Oliver.
