I don`t know if this is new or not but in other places that buy scrap metal ,houses get stripped out and the contents sold to scrap metal buyers. I hope these buyers will follow strict standards when buying this junk. There are so many empty houses around town this seems like a crime wave waiting to happen. On the other hand this might be a good chance for people to clear the junk from around their houses!

Seems like no one is smart enough to learn the lessons that others have already learned.I hope Greentree has all the records and a video system to help the police find the thief if Greetree was the place they fenced it to.

Unfortunately, as close as we are to the Mexican border, there is always a market for scrap - whether cardboard, junk cars or scrap metal.

The amazing thing is that there are not many more thefts from vacant houses - so many easy targets.
