Amy Lane took a job down the hill...like rats off a sinking ship. Too bad the other administrators can't get hired somewhere else.

I appreciate Margo Whitt's articles regarding recent events in Cloudcroft. I know she has strong feelings about the 4-Day Calendar, yet she has tried to report both sides in an unbiased manner. I also appreciate the comments posted here at your web site. Most are informative and/or funny. However, a few are not. The personal attacks on the Woegers, Rimmeles, and Mr. Hancock are unwarranted and wrong. The Woeger and Rimmele families are respected members of our community. They've contributed time, money, energy, and insight to our school district. Their children have been an asset to our school. They've excelled academically and athletically, and they reflect the positive moral character of their parents. By the same token, Mr. Hancock has dealt with difficult issues. I believe that most superintendents would have made similar decisions based on the current economic crisis in Cloudcroft (and shared by school districts nationwide.) I don't agree with EVERY decision made in recent months, but I do think we can voice opinions without attacking at a personal level.
