I'd like to know when they are going to throw away the key on this idiot? "Abraham Piedra, 29, of the 800 block of Fifth Street, was arrested on a U.S. District Court warrant for alleged felon in possession of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm. He was presently incarcerated at OCDC and is to appear in court as directed." Last week, I believe, he brought drugs into the detention center, last month or so he was in the paper and they wanted him to receive treatment for his drug habit, instead of prison time. Seriously he needs help but from our corrections department.

Let's look back at April 22, 2011. You mean to tell me a deputy gave a non-traffic citation on AGGRAVATED BATTERY??? The woman used a pen to stabb another person. Who was the idiot deputy issueing that ticket? You would think the pen was used as a deadly weapon. Did the deputy think the woman was giving an autograph in such a manner to stabb the other person>> LOL What did the deputy think was the suspects intention when "STABBING" the victim?? Wouldn't that be a felony charge and not a misdemeanor citation?

Let me tell you, the Deputy that handled this call was one of the most thorough and professional Deputies I have ever dealt with in Otero County. The woman swung the pen in attempt to knock my daughters hand off a ladder, following an argument. It grazed her hand, but did break the skin. If you don't know all the information you shouldn't spout off about how someone is an idiot. Second, Aggravated Battery is not always a felony, there is also misdemeanor aggravated battery. Third, this incident did not happen in the Deputies presence and he took the action he could with the circumstances and degree of crime he had. I could go on and on because that is how thorough this Deputy was with explaining the situation.

If he was picked up on a US District Court Warrant he'll definitely be locked up for awhile now. US District Court is the Feds and the Feds don't fool around.
