I have been thinking a lot about this young man and want to know what's going on....I want to let his family know he hasn't been forgotten
I have also wondered about him and Vicki Lynn. After the first 48 hours the news is normally not good. I'll pray for both!

There are others missing from the local area. Don't you pray for them too?

<quoted text>this town is set up on the "good ol' boy" system and if DPS doesnt reconize that somt one is missing then the paper wont print it. Im GOOD friends with jordans brother and efforts WERE made but people want to believe what they read in the paper as biblical truth. A Detective on the case told the mother that people have the right to go missing. total BS
Nobody likes to assume the worst. Wouldn't you rather be told that your son may have just disappeared for a while or be given the worst case scenario? You also need to remember that DPS investigated all the leads in the city, and then once the leads appeared to have crossed into the county, it became the jurisdiction of the Sheriffs Office.

Why is it that there hasn't been a mass effort to mobilize people to fan out and walk the mountain area from where he was believed to have gone? There are LOTS of hikers and outdoorsy types, search and rescue dogs, etc., that may have given up a Saturday to conduct a large scale search. Why hasn't that been organized? The more time that goes by, the colder the case gets.

I'm ready, let's do it.

I think it is awesome that you where able to get out there and help search!! I sure wish I would have been able to be there, but I had to work! I do however continue to pray for this family daily and wish them comfort!

They need to publish the next search in the paper and advertise on the radio station. I knew nothing about it until after it was over. Hard to help when nobody knows except for a few people on Topix.

I hope with warmer weather approaching more people can be mobilized and the next search is in the media. Our thoughts are with the family.

There was a group of volunteers and a helicopter that searched the foothills east of Alamogordo.
