First of all I have to say I used to kinda like Blue Moon until tonight. I went there because it is a good place to go in West Des Moines. I have a lot of friends there and usually spend a fair amount of money there. But tonight was the last time that I will ever go back. It is October 30, 2009 and I show up with a costume for the costume party that was going on in the area. My girl and I walk in and ask the little guy working the door if the costume party was still going on here and he said, yeah there is still a lot of people in costumes in there". So my girlfriend and I pay the $10 cover and walk in to discover that there is no one in costume in the place. We went back to the door and asked why there were no one in costume and he told us that the party moved to Cabaret a while ago! We were not there even 30 seconds and I asked him if we could have our cover back and he just pointed at the sign that said no refunds.. What a joke! The little guy working the door lied to us and treated us like crap and I will never go back there again. Most of the acts there are repeats and are hardly entertaining anyways.. Go to Grand Piano Bistro instead
