Not happening anymore they owe their employees two checks already in other words two checks behind so what everyone needs to do is throw away that sheet of paper everyday that we have to sign saying we weren't injured or hurt on the job.
when u ask someone about the checks they say they don't care actually say I don't give a frig i don't get one so I don't care or u ask someone else and they pretty much tell you the same thing: I don't know and don't care I am not in charge of safety bonus checks or pay raises so don't ask me. Im not the sharpest crayon in the box but I can count like a mother frigger and they owe us two safety checks. If they are not gonna pay up guys then let's buck the system: simple solution throw away the d*amp safety book we have to sign or just don't sign the forms at all throw the page in the trash and to quote the toolpushers" I don't give a frig i don't get one so I don't care"
All remaining rig workers that are not out of a job: u don't get a safety check anymore so don't give a frig!!

Get hurt and sue them for all that they have left what little that is left.
Then I bet highlands would have wished they had paid them safety checks and actually would have gave a f*ck!

Highlands does pay for the rooms, and I know this for a fact. They are one of the best paying companies around here unless you have "Dr" in your title or happen to practice law. They have always been true to their word with us and have consistently paid on time. To the original poster, I'm not trying to create drama but you should try working for some of these other drilling companies around here...most don't pay safety bonuses or nearly as much per hour. I know things get frustrating when men work hard on those rigs, but given the mess the economy is in we're just glad to have jobs. Sounds like the pusher is blowing you off so maybe talk to crow to see if he knows anything and go on up that "safety" ladder. Again, just a suggestion to keep from getting disgusted!

I think its bull shit as well all u hear safety and iso blah blah blah u r right we have to wait forever to get our safety checks!!! Instead of iso and highlands safety dept announcing to everyone when and where they are coming to they should just show up and see how things really work out here!!!! I think we deserve our safety checks as soon as the quarter is over so why the hell do we have to wait another quarter just to get the last one we earned!!! This job is hard and dangerous enough with out all the bullshit!!!!

First of all I work out there and know exactly what goes on out there and as far as safety checks go we are owed october november and december and in my world this month is february. Someone mentioned talk to crow about them and go up that ladder - funny they put a dope head in charge of safety. That says it all. Just hired him right off the street didn't even offer any of the employees that were working for the company the chance to even apply for the job. Its all just because its who you know there at the office. Rick hull and crow have been friends for years. It ain't right that job wasn't offered to anyone else actually they just created the position and just created a title for their good buddy. Bet he walked right in without a drug test or someone else took it for him. What does he know about all the safety laws etc.? Never heard he had a degree in safety and hazderous laws.

Last thing tell me big boy just who is the so called" flagship"? What rig u talkin about?

Hey in case you missed it, they are called bonuses for a reason they are not Garanetees!! if the company chooses not to pay them then your just out of luck. be glad the pay check showed up and didn't bounce, stop all your crying, and be glad you have a job to support your family with.

You are absolutely right! Some of these people don't have a clue about reality! As for the comment made about getting rooms paid for, they DO pay for rooms for current employees. It's your tough luck if you have to pay for your own room. The men that are in tight are usually the ones who work hard and gain respect...two things I'm sure you know nothing about according to your choice of language and your inability to establish your own rank in the oilfield. If you don't want to work at Highlands, I'm sure your whining and crying will never be missed by the REAL men that work there!

U better back up and punt we don't get bonus we r suppose to get what called a safety check if all papers r filled out and they r on our rig and haven't even seen the check due to us. Tell me what rig u work on and ill go there and get my my safety check if u r getting urs, its a shame u got 5th men that know more than drillers and tool pushers. U got workers that get hurt out there and don't turn it in on the company just so they would get the safety check and their not getting them all we have for tool pushers are overpaid parts runners? As far as anyones family goes no disprect to anyone but if it weren't for the! ACTUAL RIG HANDS highlands drilling would not exist so WE RIG HANDS make that money for your families to get them pay checks every two weeks. SO.....go RIG HANDS pull all the weight for any other emploees and keep those checks rolling in for the office personnel and their families. Since y'all so dedicated come out to work on the rig its easy to ride around in a truck and sit behind a desk and get fat man up point is TAKE CARE OF YOUR RIG HANDS and they WILL TAKE CARE OF YOU!

for one thing highlands is a good company to work for and for two no the company wouldnt run with out rig hands, drillers, toolpushers, sup ervisers, mechanics,
secretaries, parts runners ,it is a team effort for any company to work and if they dont work together no company will last ,yes some people dont get a safety check and yes its because you dont fill out your paperwork or do your inspections it is set up that way so you have the insentive to do it and make your rig safe and get free money out of the deal so tell me how damn hard is it to take 5 to 10 min out of your day to do an inspection ,the one that are doing most of the complaining is the ones that are to lazy to get out of doghouse and do them ,yes yes they call out and warn us about a inspecction coming because they know some guys are to lazy to run a good rig the way it should run and if they knew you was doing your job and inspections the way they should be done they wouldnt have to worry , so every employee at highlands needs to step up and do their job and do it right and safely ,and yes we do have some good so called flagships but thats the rigs that has hands and drillers and pushers that want to do great things so if you dont like working for highlands quit and see how fast you get another job!!!!!!!!!!

THANK YOU!!! You are absolutely right. My husband drills for Highlands and he loves his job, his crew, and his pusher because everyone works together! Safety bonuses are just that...BONUSES...incentives to adhere to safety standards and fill out proper paperwork. He has always received EVERY dime he has earned and every promise has been fulfilled. As for this "flagship" thing, please take a moment and re-read all the posts. It sounds more like children bickering than "adults"! You are making fools of yourselves and I'm sure Highlands' finest wouldn't be on here acting like kids!!
