Two workers killed on I-75; traffic rerouted

Two construction workers were killed this morning when a truck ran into the median of Interstate 75 and struck them, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

This was a sad scene this morning. I actually drove by going Northbound right after this happened. I saw one of the boy's laying on the ground, but didn't realize he had passed away alreay. This really shook me up, and made me realize you better be ready, because you never know when your number will be called. God bless these families and the driver of the truck. I'm sure he never meant to harm those boy's in any way.

What exactly happened? I heard something about it, but I haven't heard all the details yet.

Well, I watched the news and they said the two workers were working on the cable guard rails, tightening them up. The driver of the pickup truck started to swirve and lost control and ran into the median and hit the two workers. I also heard that one of the workers dad was waiting in the company truck, but don't know if that's true or not, just hear say. It just makes you wonder how and why did the driver lose control at that very spot where the workers' were and hit them. Everything happens for a reason I guess. Just a sad story.

Yes the father of jeffery was there and saw it happen and Jefery & Cheyenne were best friends. Jeffery just had a baby a few months ago.. Very sad story
