Why was the state doing an audit on Judge Meldrum? Was it because too many kids put in state custody. PLEASE COMMENT IF YOUR CHILD WAS IN JUDGE MELDRUM'S COURT.

My child was in Judge Meldrum's Court. If she was in a bad mood, she would throw the book at you. She wouldn't give you a chance to speak in court or listen to what you had to.say.She was always right and you.were wrong. She misused her bench at got.caught at her own game. The court.is a.lot.better without her.She was a SHORT PERSON and I. think that is why she was so mean.Trying to make up for the shortness.we have a good.court.system now and.Judge Meldrum got what she deserved.AMEN

I would like to comment on Judge April Meldrum. She put my child in state custody. My child missed school because she was sick a lot with Chrons Disease. Judge Meldrum didn't understand the disease and what it was doing.to my child. She tried to put my daughter in state custody even though my.daughter was in the hospital at the.time. After my daughter was out of the hospital and was back in court, she was put in a Foster Home for 6 months. My daughter's medical needs weren't taken care of. She was very sick when she got.I hope that Anderson County never ever has another Juvenile Judge like her.

Judge Meldrum had an agenda to run AC's Judicial System and she expected a short-time-line. She was very detached from the people of Anderson County and issued her form of punishment on her court with blinders on. She had plenty of potential; but, her personal issues seemed to influence her judgements in court. Glad she is gone; but, she had allot of potential if she had kept an open mind and focused on the demographics and issues at hand in TN.

Another waste of talent...

I would like to comment on former Jutvenile Judge, April Meldrum .Why was she allowed to abuse her power as a judge. I was in her court several times. My son was assaulted at Anderson County High School. The kid that assaulted ,had a prior record for the same thing. She let this kid off with no punishment. My son, the one that was assaulted had to be taken to the Emergency Room because he had a swollen face.I tried to refile the charges but my hands were tied. Why was April Meldrum allowed to do what ever she wanted to.A lot of kids suffered because of her abuse on the bench as a Juvenile Judge. Thank GOD that she is no longer a judge. I think that KARMA paid her a visit. We now have a good Juvenile Court System. Judge April Meldrum gave the Juvenile Court System a bad name when she was on the bench.I do believe there is a GOD.THANKS
I apologize

I voted for Meldrum when she ran for that position! I must say I am sorry to the people and kids of Anderson County! At the time I felt it was a time for change, and just like with Obama it may not always be the right choice! I have a cousin that really needs to be in states custody because he is flat out trouble and has terrorized many of kids and she never did her job where he was concerned! I feel the kids that didn't deserve what she dished out! Karma isn't done with her yet, she still has to redeem herself for the innocent children involved!!
cant get no satisfaction

Former Juvenile Judge April Meldrum gave the Juvenile Court System a bad name when she was in office.I personally wasn't in her court but I know some parents and kids that had to stand in front of her messed up court. Why was she allowed to abuse her so called power as a judge.I did see her when she was on the local TV channel. That was when she was being audited by the state.I could tell that she was very uncomfortable with all of the questions that she had to answer. It was like she was in court. If she hadn't resigned, she would have been taken off of the bench
She didn't finish her term as juvenile Judge. In order to save her so called good name and reputation, she resigned. So for all of you that voted for her,you made a very bad choice.I hope that April Meldrum can sleep at night because of what she did to the children and parents of Anderson County. She should pray to GOD and.ask for forgiveness because she also has kids of her own. I hope that she.reads some of the comments that have been made about her.My GOD is a forgiving GOD and maybe April Meldrum can redeem herself. She knows what she did while she was Juvenile Judge. So for all of the voters in Anderson County, think before you vote.we don't.need a repeat like former Juvenile Judge April Meldrum.

I know exactly how alot of you feel about that judge. I made a huge mistake that ruined my life and im just now getting some things straightened out because she wouldnt listen to me. I did everything to fix the mistake and she just didnt care at all. Im so glad that woman is gone. She screwed over so many familys. Since Judge Fisher has been there alot of my siituation has changed and things are so much better now. Thank goodness she is out of there. Fisher is an excellent judge and im very grateful for him taking time to listen to me and help me. If she had been gone a few years ago my situation wouldnt have taken so long to get fixed. I cant stand that woman she thought she could do whatever she wanted to whoever she wanted no matter what their situaton was. I know myself and some others didnt deserve the harsh treatment we got from her. Dont think u were alone she did it to everyone. Glad she is GONE!!!

I agree that you cant mistreat children. My case wasnt like that but trust me ive done everything and i have proved myself. Wonder how she would feel if that happend to her or someone she knows. I have payed for my mistakes and all is well. I just hope she never has the chance to do that to anymore ppl. I have completly changed my life and have god in my life now. Its a horrible situaton to be in. Im just thankful to god that he gave me the strength to get through it all. Im glad the new judge is such a great person and he listens cause meldrum wouldnt listen to anything anyone had to say. Hope more familys can now get their situatons straitened out. I think she was forced to leave. She said it was her decision but i dont believe that for one minute.

I don't know where/if she attends a church now, but back in the day, she was a 2nd Baptist member. Why do all of the money/power hungry people in anderson co. gov't seem to go there? Hmmm....

Aren't you the same girl, who is white, had 3 or 4 mixed kids, and when you had a white one gave it to a friend, you didn't want a white baby, your grandmother had to go find it. How did a foster son molesting your child cause you to loose custody, that doesn't make sense. I do scatch my head on how your mother ever fooled anyone long enough to become a FOSTER PARENT,

Yes Im white, Yes I have 3 mixed kids and a white kid, NO my kids have never been anywhere but with me (or my family) and I NEVER gave any of them away THEY R MINE REGUARDLESS OF WHO HELPED ME MAKE THEM! Dont know how she became a foster parent, but I do know that Ur guess is as good as mine on how in the hell that happened out of that.....Her reasoning was because my mom had begun the process of adopting this boy, and she got them after school until 6 when I picked them up so Meldrum thought they were in danger even though the boy was put in a juvenile facility.... So thats what it is smartass, and next time you wanna talk shit for no reason GET YOUR STORY STRAIGHT!

Hopefully sooner than later. Now thats shes gone my life has been better and things are starting to fall back into place. She messed with alot of lives even mine. Since shes been gone lots of families have been reunited and those are the ones who shouldve been together a long time ago. Hope your situation is better now since she left. Im thankful for the new judge. He is a great judge and hope hes there a long time. For the sake of these children and families who need him. Good luck with your situation and dont let other ppl get you down.

I think the parents of all of the kids who were put into state's custody should be, at least partially, reimbursed for the child support they had to pay out to the state. I had to pay for a year and a half. My son was in state's custody for truancy. I would take him to school and drop him off and he would leave the school. The truancy had NOTHING to do with me being a bad parent and not getting him to school. That was not the right way to go with him.

It wasnt the fault of the parent. You couldnt help that he was skipping school. That wasnt the way to handle that. There were other ways to do it. I cant believe it took a year and a half. Thats crazy. Is he home now if you dont mind me askin.

Honey I got my story straight from the horses mouth, when you gave away your little girl, and I know you don't deserve to get them back, the only one talking shit is you. Wait it's really not your fault though, look who your parents are

They didnt throw you in jail did they cause they throw some parents in jail for truancy. Even when its not the parents fault. They sholudnt have removed him from the home because of that. Each case is different and i dont think they handled your case properly. I dont think mine was either. I know some parents who get chance after chance and they still screw up but still have their kids. This person never has consequences for their actions. So go figure they take the kids who dont need to be and leave the ones who do. That really makes me so mad.

Yes, he's home now, but only because he turned 18 in December and the probation officer ended his case.
