why don't they just saw him apart like they do babies when they abort them? if they can do that to unborn babies who have harmed none, then why can't they do it to this fat toad who brutaly murdered 2 beautiful inteligent young ladies?????

$38,000 in annual incarceration costs. About $3 Million in appeals and court related costs. He killed people and then spent the last 2 decades pilfering the public coffers. If he doesn't deserve to die, no one does.

At least that illegal Mexican they put down in Texas had the decency to admit he did it, admit it was wrong, admit he had it coming and apologized to the families. This greasy stool sample can't even rise to that level.

Too fat?
Give me a break. It's a waste of our hard earned tax payer dollars to execute this waste. Lock him forever. That's the answer. If you have any doubt go to your library and read Delfino and Day's capital punishment books, Death Penalty USA 2003 - 2004 and Death Penalty USA 2005 - 2006. Guaranteed to change your way of thinking.

And what kind of "man" is his attorney who does not have a problem with his adult daughter cozying up to Cooey?
You have no right to judge his attorney! It's his job to defend this man, and if he can see humanity where others can't, then more power to him!

You can not be seriuos???????? This fat tub of crap killed two girls for no reason. The fact that he has lived this long just shows what a mess our justice system is. Put the miserable fat man to death. I bet you would feel diffrent if it were your child.

Cooey keeps blaming his co-defendant for the murders. What's his co-defendant say? it would be interesting to hear what HE says about Cooey's role in the murders.
not really, who cares what either of them say. time for talking is over, it's time for killing, and that's way over due.

How does one make a "mistake" and accidentally brutally rape and beat to death two wonderful women??? Forgiveness does not mean he should not pay for his crime. It's hard to forgive such a coward who refuses to take responsibility for his horrific crime. It's also hard to forgive the men when you see your dead friend lying in a casket with swelling and bruises showing through the makeup. Living your life desperately trying not to let yourself think about what these women went through.

When you experience that, then talk to me about foregiveness!!

I remember when the they found both girls, the anger, the heart-sickening feeling. Thoughts of the pain that the two girls had endured. I remember when they made the arrests. Had the police released the two and turned their backs, Cooey wouldn't be wasting our time today. Hang him in a public place and use him for a pinata. I have no sympathy, no compassion for that man (man?).

It's approx.$ 43,680 for the salary of an Ohio Corrections Officer (not including benefits) & this piece of crap gets 24/7 guard. Do the math- 43,680 X 30 yr. prison stint= 1,310,400. So lets try a little "Old Testament Eye For An Eye" justice & forget the foregiveness crap!

His obesity could have been solved with "hard labor"! Follow other states, put convicts on chain gangs & work off their debt to society?!! That would insure Cooey wasn't "too fat" to die!

Make convicts actually work & execute those slated for execution on schedule!! Maybe then criminals would think twice!! If not they know what awaits them.

today is the 22 years to the day that he killed wendy and dawn.
my mom was bestfriends with wendy, and knew dawn very well. cooey was supposed to have already died. every day that she sees him in the paper or on the news it hurts her even more. everytime she sees anything about him she says its as if she is reliving it all over again. i just want justice served. i cant stand to see my mom so upset, and he needs to be killed.
