Great Article. I would be very confident in saying that John R. Kasich has no more of a chance in getting Re-Elected! Kasich has a better chance of being Re-Called than getting to the Iowa Caucus!

I left Ohio because the taxes became just too much! I moved to a state that has NO State Income Tax and 6% on sales. Ohio was charging me a few thousand dollars per year state income tax, plus the locol county had 7 1/2% sales tax. Go figure!

Hey, good for you!! Hope that you live on the coast where millions of dollars of federal FEMA money is allotted every time there's a hurricane. Glad you don't believe in global warming either, because it's already too damn hot down there. Best of luck on the rising sea level and beach erosion.

I don't mind the paying state income tax, property tax or sales tax, because I don't live beyond my means. If you ask me, all the slackers, including you, left the state. So if your so happy, why are you commenting on a Columbus website.

BTW, it's a disgrace that the republicans are so proud of these politicians, because the real progress in Ohio was accomplished with the likes of John Gilligan, Richard Celeste and Ted Strickland.

If Kenya can have a prez.,why not Ohio? Congressman Dennis Kucinich has a better chance than Kasich. That Lehman Brother Feces would stick to Kasich if Dems played it right.Kasich might do for Ohio as he did for Lehman Brothers. The we are all fornacated.

I don't understand why you are whining. Obozo was elected on promises to redistribute wealth. You are getting what you wanted. You are ignorant if you thought when wealth was redistributed that your income would rise. Obozo wants this to be a 3rd world country and you keep playing right into his hand. Kasich and the republicans are taking steps to prevent states from filing bankruptcy. The piggy bank is empty but you libs want to keep spending money we don't have. I'm glad you don't have control over my money and investments.

The further we are as Ohioans from the corruption of "presidential" politics, the better! I sometimes think I've living in little Chicago here in Columbus. Millions of dollars were laundered through Columbus, Ohio in 2008 and 2009 to get Obama elected. We saw it with our own eyes on the auditor's website. Is there a 123 Main Street in Columbus, Ohio? Well, there was one listed in January 2009 on the auditor's website, the owner was listed as "Barack Obama" and thousands were paid to city government for property taxes on that one fictitious site alone. And there were many other fake addresses listed in Columbus, Ohio under the name of Barack Obama. When we wrote to Clarence Mingo about it, we got a letter back saying, "Check with your local library concerning that address. Thank you for your inquiry." The days before the inauguartion in 2009, all these pages were scrubbed. Why did this happen? What favors were purchased here in Columbus, Ohio for the administration of a man who was unvetted and whose true identity was concealed from the American people??? Mr. Kasich, be strong! And as for the Dispatch, why are such an article being printed now, as we are on the verge of an historic vote to reign in the power of the oppressive influence of the unions here?

My friend, I was there in 2006 when Ohio elected Ted Strickland working from a Main Street address. Your bitter animosity is a real turn off for uninformed citizens, so they fear running a gauntlet of ogres at the polling place. Get Out the Vote reminders protect voting rights.

Articles written by interns at The OSU Latern recounting Obama's visit the campus oval were unbelievable. One stated that she was going to sit that election out because she wasn't impressed with politicians on ego trips. That hardly describes Ted Strickland, but that voter apathy may likely cost her a 50% increase in tuition. Maybe she will learn something about voting her interests.

What did Ted Strickland do for Ohio except bring us Keno after campaign promises that gambling would never be in Ohio under his watch. How long was he in office before instituting Keno? Not to mention that Ted attempted to put slots in the tracks without approval from the legislature or our citizens. Thinking he could do what he wanted without our approval wasn't an ego trip? Exactly what in your mind did Ted do for this state?
