happens all the time and disgusts me. We have a great Department of Natural resources program here. It makes me sick to my stomach that these outsiders come and poach.

Throw the book at them. Fine them heavily, confiscate all their gear and ban them from fishing for a few years altogether. It's jerks like these who ruin it for everybody else.

Let them fish. Once the asian carp takes over Lake Erie, there will be no walleye. Sincerely, Phil Zebco

Heck, they do this at Alum Creek all the time. You see folks not originally from this country with multiple 5 gallon buckets filling them to the top with fish. Even if they are under size. I watched them last year, this year, I'm turning them in. I'm not a fisherman so it took me a while to realize the damage they are doing. Be careful too, I approached a group in a small jonboat after about killing the skier I was towing when they came between the boat and skier. They were armed with a rifle that looks like they have those metal banana thingys hanging from them. They never threatened me with it, but still.... Thought I was off the coast of east Africa.

Keep in mind I am no expert on the whole fish thing, but the way I understand, overfishing can upset the balance of things despite efforts to restock. Maybe someone else can shed light on the matter.

Did they actually get to keep the fish?

If I arrested them, I would make sure they were all filleted, packaged in ice, and in my cooler before I took them to the station!
