I've known Pete Collins all my life and He was a loving, warm hearted Man. Being a great inspirational speaker and a grat story teller, being truth or lie it was used to get a point across and keep your attention. "Who did it Hurt"?If you have heard him, you know they were to motivate young and old People alike. Pete was well known for his story telling or lies if you will to help others.
"BUT LINDA WHAT WAS YOUR REASON" Will this always be an unanswered question?
We Love You Pete, always have and always will.

Pete Collins was a good man. I didn't believe that he molested the young lady; he saved many lives; and helped many children. Why would he want to hurt one?

I grew up in Kosciusko, & knew Pete most of my young life. Pete was a well-respected, well thought of man. I will defend Pete to the end. He was a wonderful man, who's main mission in life was helping others. He loved people of all ages. For the man I knew to come to such a tragic end just breaks my heart. Fifteen years ago, as I was leaving Kosciusko to move to Atlanta, Pete was the last person in Kosciusko I saw, when I stopped to fill up my car. We had a nice conversation, & I will always treasure that moment.

I was looking for Pete Collins on the internet to see if I could have speak to young people in CA. I remember his presentations when working in KY. back in the 80's. Heard him several times. He was a gifted, sensitive man could capture the minds and hearts of young and old. Young people told me often that it was Trooper Collins' message that changed their mind about drinking alcohol. I am shocked and saddened to learn of his death. If there was any truth at all to the allegations, someone somewhere along his journey would have know he had another side. I may be wrong but men don't become "sexually abusive" in their late 50's. I grieve for his family and friends.

I seen Tpr Collins when I was in high school he came to my school to speak to us. I remember sitting on the edge of my seat while he told a story of a young girl who was killed on her way to the homecoming football game with her brother and sister and how the drunk that hit them acted. Then how he crawled up the car with her and talked to her, he left her for a minute and when he returned how she was looking up into the sky. she had passed away and then he had to go tell her mom and dad what had happened. This was a good man he helped me choose a career and doesnt even know me. I wished I could have talked to him thank him for all he done in old world and how he touched my life.No one will ever talk about the great things he done just what he was accused of. He helped more people than most will even talk to in their lives. We as a nation owe him and I my self owe him he made me want to be a police officer and I am going into my 9th year thanks to him. So for all he done for me Tpr Collins you dont know me but you made a huge impact on my life in Hopkisville Ky at Christian County High School the day you spoke to our school. That was the first day I ever thought about being a officer and it was because of you. So with that being said Tpr Collins I salute you and thank you for what you did. No matter what is said you are a great man in my book. You welcome to come ride with me anytime sir. God speed with you Tpr Collins. U/109 clear

Paul, JSmith, & Unit109--It is wonderful that you have happy memories of Pete. Everyone he met & all those he spoke to were blessed in some way by his message. I will never believe those allegations without picture proof. Pete was a trooper in the town I grew up in, & as teenagers, he kept us all on the straight & narrow. If you messed up, though, Pete would take you right to jail, but I never heard anyone mad after Pete took them in. You understood that you had done wrong & he had to arrest you, & he still loved you & thought no less of you. But, I ramble~smiling sadly~... My memories of Pete are some of the most pleasant memories of my younger years. His tragic end truly breaks my heart. God bless you, Pete, & may you rest in peace.

not a day goes by that i think of all the lives Captain Pete Collins touched I hope that one day i can touch lives the way that he has and i hope to one day be able to be able to speak in the manner as he did i went to meet Captain Collins to ask him to teach me how to be as great at speaking as he was and he took the time to sit and talk and pray with me he told me to speak every chanch i got and it seems that after that things have made it very difficult to do so. With the following economy it is good to know that there is some people left that beleive in right wrong and good. thank you to those that still beleive and to those that try to continue what Captain Collins started.

I'm writing this because I just got home from traffic school for my very first speeding ticket and I have been driving for 32 yrs.
I didn't know Pete Collins but they showed a film starring him and I was so touched by all he said he had me at everyword. I would love to find a dvd to show my 17 yr old daughter and her friends.

You came to my school in the 80s. You probably saved my life and that of many of my friends. Because of your talk, we chose not to drink on prom night. I have even told my kids about you. You are and always will be a hero to me.

Jacob, That was your GrandDad but speaking to others with curse words won't help. Pete did a lot of good in his life, that is not to be disputed. God knows the truth and Pete knew the truth. There is nothing we can do to undo the past we can only move forward. I knew Pete well and I also knew the 13 y/o girl very well. It is so very sad that things happened the way that they did. We can only give the situation to God and ask him to heal the wounds. The rest of this chatter is worthless.
