Ken Hackman was my high school science teacher at Callaway High School in 1984-1985. Never before had I met anyone who wanted to change young people's lives more than this man. His enthusiasm for the sciences made me want to become a teacher. I changed my mind when I found out how hard it is for one to make it on a teacher's salary. Which is sad to me, but never the less, Mr. Hackman chose that road and has never looked back with ANY regret! I applaud him for his MANY years of dedication and congratulate him for receiving the recognition that makes all those years worth it!
