These "men" who rob anyone are probably crackheads. Of course they are cowards who need a job.

Good thing that our police chief has decided that these cab drivers cannot legally arm themselves...more to come.

A job? Are you kidding, maybe he needed some money to pay mortgage. I heard the robber had a mortgage payment, two car payments, a wife, a girlfriend and they are all a month late.
A job is Just Over Broke, limited income and no dreams...common!

Folks, more then once, I have mentioned the fact that being a Cab Driver is the most dangerous job in the US, according to the US Bureau Labor Statistics, as far as the risk of dying via homicide on the job.

These men and women are truly Heroes. As Bruce W Marien mentioned above in post number 3, they are not allowed to arm themselves. Unlike others, who sometimes call themselves Heroes, who are armed; and can quickly call in other armed fellow workers, who are allowed to speed through our cities and towns to their fellow lawmen's defense.

I want to thank our nations Cab Drivers, for their selfless public service. Obviously, their bravery is something that should be applauded as well. And, they do not enjoy the countless perks and benefits that others do, who frequently get passed off to the public as being Heroes.

Again, thank you Cab Drivers of Fitchburg and America. You provide much needed transportation to many, for a few measly bucks, with little to no job benefits. And, all the while you work solo, without the large support network that helps to keep other so called Heroes safe and sound.

Maybe they just can't do anything else? It's not like their firemen or policemen?

But at least they are working and not leaching off of the system, as dangerous and low paying job it is they are doing it.
Thank you cab drivers.

Mr Pants(or is it Ms Pants),

You are not suggesting that somehow police and Firefighters have more employment options than our nation's Taxi Drivers have; are you? Or, are you suggesting that our nation's Taxi Drivers deserve any less of our thanks than our cops or Firefighters do? Let's give credit where credit is due. These Cab Drivers are getting all of our transportationless citizens around and they are travelling unarmed into some very rough neighborhoods. They are Heroes. Plain and simple.

What a joke. Cabbbies are your heroes? Come on, Tootin'. You can do better than this...

Your husband likes his partner more than you. The emotional bonding you lack with him is manifested in a strong brotherly love between he and his partner.

What's he going to do have a gun that shoots backwards, or wait till the thief is running away and then start blazing? Yup, that will solve the problem.

Pizza deliverers are my heroes. They get robbed an awful lot and look what they do for us. Chinese food deliverers too. And both groups don't need to call up for backup unless it's a really big order. I want both of these groups to have LTC's, but I want the Espresso guy to have an automatic weapons permit because Espresso's pizza is so much better and thus will get robbed more frequently. Don't give the Singapore guy a weapon. When somebody robs him just offer the robber a taste of the beef chow mein. Her'es your money back!!!

Go ahead and make light of a serious situation here in Fitchburg. The fact remains that we have a police chief that chooses to go after law-abiding citizens instead of criminals. That makes him a coward.

Hey!

Now you are starting to show some personality! And, some wit, to boot. But, you left out Meter Readers for Unitil. With the prices that Unitil is charging, these Meter Readers could be at risk for a flogging by an angry Unitil Customer. Maybe that is why they went to those automatic scanners a few years back. But, if there are still any Meter Readers roaming our city streets, we should probably let them carry something more than a clipboard and a writing pen. Maybe a Tazor would make sense for them......
