Is there such a thing any more? Do you mean 100% American made? 80%? Manufactured elsewhere and assembled in America or the other way around? About the only thing "Made in America" now is Americans and imports are making in-roads there as well. Welcome to a global economy!

As a Christian, a conservative and a Republican I am opposed to government regulations of the automobile industry. The Federal Government has imposed so many "safety rules" (which are actually make-work nonsense for unions) on cars that people can't afford to buy them anymore. Now look at what has happened. Toyota is forced to lose billions because a few whining liberals can't tell the brake from the accelerator. We should get rid of The National Highway Transportation Safety Board and let the FREE MARKET determine which cars succeed and which fail. The framers of the constition never intended the Federal Government to be a nanny - grown adults can and should look out for themselves.

Hey, Dummy... these Toyotas are American made. My Camry was built in Georgetown, KY, and I'll never own another piece of Detroit junk again. No more money of mine to the UAW, ever.

Its not just where it is made, it is where the money goes when you buy the car. more than half of the money you spend on that car goes to japan. therefore it is not american made. when you buy a ford that is assembled in japan, you only pay the workers, not the corporation, and much less money goes to them than to america.

and you should be smart enough to know that there is nobody named toyota in america. so why would there be a company named after an american named toyota. doesn't make any sense

Do-no-wrong Toyota facing 'colossal' revenue losses? Poor them.~sarcasm~. Let's just say, if NHTSA, JD Power, CR had actually been doing their jobs and truly scrutinizing a little better the real time complaints customers had been submitting, all along, well, let's just say Toyota wouldn't be in the sorry place it is now, now would it. Free passes x 10 years by bought and sold media horns and Toyota's incredible thumbing of their middle finger to once loyal customers who tried their damndest to get their attention about their cars' electronic flaws, get them exactly what they deserve. Delayed but justifiable product SCRUTINY.
