I think the store has cleaned up considerably. I think the new owners are very nice and friendly. The only outdated material is always at a reduced price. All Stores do that! Saying that they shut the coolers off at night is utterly ridiculous. I have purchased frozen food there and have never had any food that was frozen and thawed. I have used my debit card daily and never been over charged. They use a hand entered system which you can make mistakes on. I have one of these at my business and are complicated to run. I was overcharged by accident when Steve owned it and credited back my money. Camanche is a very malicious community and I believe that some of this is because they are from India!!! Alex updated the scanning system so all the products are in it. When Steve owned it the staff never knew what the products cost. How do you know you were not overcharged when everyone was guessing at the price. With an accurate receipt I am sure Alex would correct any mistakes. If Camanche looses this store All the town drunks are going to have to drive to Clinton and get there condiments for partying. The Camanche police will sit by the overpass and pluck them off like flies.

Hi Camanche community,

After Alex took over Steve's food mark,he take care of very well.At Steve time, store was small like a toilet, Now it is very clean and well organize. some people are strongly ageist to Alex,just because of his nationality. Please do not judge any business like that. Please give this business a honest opinion Please !!!! God looking your dis honesty.

If Bonie keeps asking the young female teenage help to pose for pictures and go outside with him etc. then you will see the Food Pride in the newspaper for the wrong reasons. This is why I made my daughter quit soon after the takeover and have not patronized the store since. He is lucky I haven't seen him out in public.

The store use to have a strange smell to it. The Camanche resident comment is true. Several times there was no price posted on items I had purchased. Since Alex took over the smell is gone. All prices are clearly displayed. The one thing that stayed consistant is the meat department. I think it is one of the best around this area. They do have discount specials for meat that the expiration date is coming close. I have never seen outdated products and I am in the store at least once a week. They are also willing to try and get an item for you if you can not find it in the store. All staff have been very friendly and helpful. As far as correcting mistakes, I had one happen to me personally. I took in some recycle bottles and was not credited for it. The next day I took in the receipt and showed that I didn't get credit and they immediately correct the problem and gave me the money for the bottles. Some small town individuals have small town mentallity where any change is a threat and they search for any negative to bring the change down even if it not the truth. Seeing is believing. So go and see for yourself instead of believing half-truths. I hope this resistance is not because they are from another county. All of our ancesters were from another county.

People of Camanche for the most part are the rudest saddest people I have ever known they talk good to your face then badmouth you as soon as you are gone,I was in food pride several times and the store was very clean,these people have nothing better to do than sit around bad mouthing others!!

I am offended by the remarks that all Camanche residents are rude and the community is malicious. You will find these types of individuals where ever you go in the world. There are so many people living here that would give you the shirt off their back. I believe that some people have had a bad experience or two, and some have had only good experiences at Food Pride. It's sounds like they're trying to get the pride back in Food Pride. Give them a chance. Everyone deserves that much. STOP judging a whole community by the rude offensive remarks made by a few.
