What morons! I suppose that if he wore a knit sweater and a nylon jacket his whole body would be considered a weapon and would be arrested just by showing up at school.

This student obviously needs help. My daughter is a student at Morgan and she hardly knows this boy except for the one time that he went by her in the hall rolling along on his "heelys" and shoved her into a locker...and then turned around and laughed about it!!!! She didn't even know who he was at the time!!!! No kid should be bringing something like that to school with the intent of using it on his fellow students. After hearing about the threats that this kid has made, my daughter was afraid to go to school. People may claim that this kid has been bullied, but we only know that he has done his own share of bullying. No student should ever feel like they are not safe at their school...but, unfortunately, in times like these, we cannot be too careful. For all of you who think this is no big deal, how would you like to hear from your child that they fear there may be another Columbine at their school???? Would you take chances with your child's safety???? I am thankful that the Clinton Police did their job.

i wonder how all you people who think that this is a harmless situation will feel if he goes berserk. kids from morgan school on this forum are afraid, so as adults we need to listen to them. unfortunately home schooling is not the answer. it will not keep him from going to the school & taking people down. his parents need to address the psychological issues he is dealing with and get him some help. as a parent of school-age kids in this day and age i do not take school threats lightly. it is potentially fatal to do so.

I have been reading some of these posts, and most of them are complete nonsense. I attend Morgan and have been in pretty much all of his clases since seventh grade. He brought in a camera that the cover had been taken off of, and the boys in our geometry class wanted to touch a certain spot to feel a slight shock. No one was actually threatened. He did push a couple of students to try it, but they refused and and the boy left it alone. And this wasn't the first time that he had brought it in, either; it was probably like the third. After he came back to school, another kid in our class was talking to him about his arrest, and he said, "Morgan's like the next Cloumbine, even though their school was so much worse." He was simply referring to the news coverage about the topic, saying that it was being blown out of proportion. Granted, he should have the sense not to talk about something so serious, but he didn't do anything wrong. I think this whole thing has been rediculous, and I feel bad for this boy, because I was present at all these events, and nothing that serious happened. A lot of people from Morgan have posted things too, but most of them weren't there or don't know this kid.

Jeez...when I was in 6th grade I brought an old school homemade cherry bomb to school and blew up the school's mailbox. Let me think....yeah thats pretty much a federal felony or two. On top of that I blew up a hell of alot more shit than that.
Here is the kicker.....I was never caught,bullied....beaten beyond what I called a well deserved ass kickin'. Sometimes a kid likes to do stuff thats considered wrong by law enforcement and the general public. Screw it..I'm still a kid even though I'm 29 married with 2 babies of my own. I won't kick my kids in the ass for doing what I did coming up. I'll just show them how not to get caught by the cops. Even though todays schools are tougher than the ones I came up in...there is still lots of shit you can get away with. Thats what I'll teach them. If your kids get bullied by mine...tough shit!! What's amusing, besides the obviously ludicrous and bogus charge against this kid, is that true stun guns and tazers are routinely used on children (including preteens) by law enforcement in the U.S. even when there's absolutely no serious danger posed by these kids (they just disobey orders or kick or push or run). But that's perfectly fine, even though these have actually killed children.

But when kids bring a plastic knife or open a disposable camera in school, it's FELONY. And mind you, in many U.S. states juvenile arrests can PERMANENTLY screw up your record and can keep you out of thousands of jobs FOREVER.

Yet when prison guards zap dozens of their own kids in 3 prisons with real prison stun guns, there's not a single arrest. It's not a crime for parents to let their kids get zapped with real stun guns, even against the kids' will, as long as these parents are in law enforcement or corrections.

What a land of HYPOCRISY...

P.S. Joe from Hartford, your comment was de facto encouragement for child murder, a FELONY in many states and a Federal crime as well.

I think people need to spend a week or 2 working in a school system, parents would be shocked and embarrassed over the way there kid and other kids act. probably would think its not even there kid at first. Kids have to much lee way now a days. All a kid needs to say is I didn't know. Or even better mommy and daddy call in telling the school there going to sue. Whats funny is it seems like parents are less concerned with what there kid did and more concerned that if news of this gets out it might make them look bad around town. Simple put schools should put cameras in every room and hallway and every part of the school. Would solve a lot of problems.

i remember back in middle school, when dispossable cameras where big and some one took it apart and figured out you can shock someone. I remember we all tried it, none of us kids went to the ground compulsing, or taken down a grown man with it.
so yes to agree with alot of other people on here, WTF, arresting a boy for bringing a camera to school, man i remember bringing in far worse things that can harm people, like a pen! yes a pen is considered a deadly weapon when used in the right areas, same with pencils, so are we going to ban those from school? and what about those heavy 5lb books, throw that at someone and that could take a grown man down! so before you know it we are going to sue to schools for making our kids Fat as well!

I was a in your class. 1998 was my senior year.
I remember quite a few kids getting the crap kicked out of them for being morons.

The only issue is we're all going off he said she said information.
I remember in school people always talked trash about others and you never know who was telling the truth. Morgan is a very divided school. There are tons of cliques. If your not a part of one then some others will judge and make things up about you. So to go based off what a few said here. I wouldn't believe it until it was proven.
Suspend the kid, see if he needs help and go from there. Putting him into the judicial system is not a good thing. The judicial system is just looking for money and to keep them in the system.
