Thats why home schooling sucks, no friends in the area, I would hate my life too! Home Schooling denies children of any kind of social life, basically you are destined to be a LOSER!

I know a number of kids who were and are home schooled and social activities with other kids are built into their days; and they're all unbelievably smart, interesting, fun kids. Either you have no idea what you're talking about or the people that you DO know who home school aren't doing a very good job.

This is not about whether this kids is home schooled or not. A kid runs off after an arguement with a partent. That is. It is fortunate that the kid was found safe. Guess what the child molesters and other pervs would not ask him where he goes to school before they victimize them

merciful heavens! oh my stars! why that little brat..... he deserves a good spanking for running away and causing such an up-roar. Why I never, in all my years.... heard of such brazen behavior! If I were his parent.... I'd be in quite a tizzy over this. That young whippersnapper should learn discipline or be sent to an institution for unruly juveniles.

I'm very glad that he was found. Now about the issue of running away. Maybe he does need some form of punishment...how about some comunity service performed WITH his mother. The expense of looking for him will be covered by taxpayers. I am not saying that he shouldn't have been searched for I am just suggesting that both the child and the parent need to make some type of retribution. The child needs to understand that just because he has an argument he can't just run away and the parent needs to learn ways of coping with an argumentative kid. Or this won't be the last time we read about him in the paper.

Jeez, kids do things like this, and he wasn't even far from his home. I think "retribution" is a BIT much! This is not a story --- everyone can go home now.
