this is hilarious, have you ever seen a brookhaven town code enforcement officer or town clowns as most of them are described. First of all they make about $7.10 an hour, so you know they are the absolute cream of the crop in our potential pool of law enforcement officials, the average weight of an officer is somewhere in the vicinity of a Richard simmons intervention. Thier IQ scores are in that "well I went to school on a little bus" range. And Im not sure I would want these jerks watching out for my Kid, although Im confident they cant really do anything as most of them cant reach thier joystick, much less get any joy out of it. after all one officer's wife had to hire Leonard Nimoy to do an "in search of episode"in order to relocate his member. So fear not Mastic-Shirley...ites, your in good hands with B.T.C.E.O.

My son goes to William Floyd High School. I am sick and tired of hearing all this and getting a notice home once a week about some new sex offender living in the area....

Well readers, there is a lot more obviously going on here than just simple criticism. The inner rage in Mona is so transparent it glows through her whole opinion like a spotlight.
It sounds to me like she had a negative experience with those who she calls 'the town clowns'.
I will bet she was caught one night giving a juicy hummer to some big african american stud in the back of her '92 Tauris down at Shirley Beach.
Her tirade sounds more like a lame attempt at 'pay back'.
Mona. it's people like you who give Shirley and the Mastics it's less than perfect reputation.

Town Clowns! That's great!

We used to call them "Keystone Cops" or "Park D1cks" growing up back in Kings Park.

Don't forget to include that these "once-a-week" notices sometimes list as many as 3 sex offenders at a time!

Brookhaven Code Enforcement are security guards. They have no police powers. They can not make an arrest. They can not write a traffic ticket other then in fire zones or town locations. They must patrol the largest town in the state of New York, larger than Nassua county. Its larger than two states. Under alfred e foleys watch do you know how many code enforcemtnt officers were on duty on a Sunday shift on the 4 pm to 12 am shift? Try none. They have over 200 parks to patrol. I know. I worked public Safety Dispatch for nearly 4 years. If they have a car or two by the school that means the south and central area has no cars. All you get is a North Car, a Central Car and a South Car. Thats it! So where are they getting these cars and people from? People beware. This is alfred e foley jerking o f f again. Dont be decieved

Has anyone read the latest research on the sexually addicted? Reports show serious brain atrophy (shrinkage) which leads to early onset Alzeimer's disease.

SCPD has the same number of cops today as in the 1960s. Don't expect miracles.

If nothing else these patrols will serve as an extra pair of eyes, their vehicles have radios and can summon help and keep questionable people in their view.......You have this service today, its more then you had yesterday.....Be thankful.

Thank god we finally have real cops on patrol. I bet you could replace all the overpaid SCPD with $8. per hr code guys that will be on patrol getting the job done. Believe it or not they probably want to do a good job and serve their community. Suffolk Cops On Pension Early (COPE)can go back to the Fire house!

As a veteran law enforcement officer I must agree that the Town of Brookhaven Code Enforcement Officers are not being utilized properly. As previously mentioned they are in fact civilians not peace or police officers nor are they trained to perform law enforcement duties. To have them in any patrol function is insane. Let the police officers perform the police duties. There's enough litigation going on in Brookhaven Town already.

There is a security gaurd who constanly sneaks home after he drops his car off at the school then has his wife who is also a school district employee (teacher) pick him up and he does side jobs and works on his house getting paid by the district. He does this everytime the schhool has easter recess, summer recess and when the school has limite hours. He has been doing this for years and no one ever checks where he is, the elected officials are completely fooled. To make matters worse the school is unprotected by this person who should be fired. If he did his job you wouldn't need the police to do gaurd work/ security. Get rid of the policical appointed lazy bum our kids need someone who dosen't sneak home everychance he gets.

To Taxpayer Watch... Why don't you report the culprit. He is stealing time and WE are paying for it. Get his plate number and turn him in.

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Capricorn

Self deception will be the main issue today. You may be judging your situation wrongly: don't hold back, say what you think diplomatically and without being hurtful. This should result in a positive mental outlook for you. Competitive sports activity will ease any stress or tension.
