Moberly tends to spend money on the most frivilous things. How do they think that a new pool, and the new baseball and soccer fields are going to benefit the town. They seem to only build things to benefit the upper class. They talk about city beautification, how about helping the poor and disabled with some paint or something so they can make their houses fit into their (the cities) standards. Then that would make the whole town more appeasing to the eye. After all isn't that what they are after. And they seem to forget that the poor and disabled probably spend more money in Moberly than the upper class. The poor and disabled cannot afford to drive to Columbia or where ever to do their shopping.
Imma are your that freaking dumb or what? Baseball and Soccer fields for the upper class, you have got to be kidding me. The fields are to keep all the white trash relatives of yours off the streets. Maybe one of the hoods that would normally be stealing will pick up a baseball and actually enjoy it and stay off the streets. Buy your own freaking paint just be sure to buy the kind that will stick to metal so when it rains it won't slide off your trailer. All the normal people have to drive to Columbia t get clothes you idiot, walmart just doesn't have the selection. And by the way if they drive to Columbia and spend their hard earned money so be it. Since you are obviously on gov't assistance you should not have the right to leave Moberly, so spend your welfare in Moberly.

You are so off base on all of the stuff that comes out of your mouth. I have worked hard my whole life, and the only steel on the side of my house is the flashing at the edge of the roof. And how many kids do you know that are "underprivledged" play baseball or soccer? The prices on that stuff are unreal for a family that live and work in Moberly. My grand child is going to be playing basketball at the Y and I gave them $40 for that. For 6 games. This is for a 5 year old. Back when I was in school, all we had to buy for any sport was the shoes. And as far as clothing, there are stores in Moberly that carry the name brands. And if you're going to have pants hanging off your butt and have your boxers showing, what difference does it make if you buy over sized Lees or over sized South Pole? With the way they hang, you can't tell what brand they are any way.

All I am really saying is that Moberly should take care of their own. The city talks about Pride in Parks, how about pride in the whole community?

And Moberturkey, I don't live in Moberly. Don't want to associate with the likes of you.

You can go to any store in Moberly and buy a box of Ex-Lax it really sounds like you might need them! Oh yeah, you may want to stock up in a 12 pack roll of toilet paper too!

I agree with Imma. Also, our City Hall & other City people tell Moberly people, SHOP AT HOME.
BUT....does the city????? NO!!!!
They have out of town people building the new building inthe glorified park, out of town people putting a new heating & cooling system in city hall, which is a BIG over expense in itself....
Shouldnt they practice what they preach???? shop Moberly????

Makes sense that the only correct thinkin' is done by those with thinkin' or thought in their I.D.
Shame that those without a clue voice their so-called opinion and kill the message trying to kill the messenger. Don't waste time or thinkin' on useless input and stay correct.
What is correct is that Moberly isn't.

I guess no one in Moberly has sufficient kickback funding to get the jobs?

I graduated from MHS in 2008 and i dont think they need to build a new school.sure it's not the fanciest but it is a decent building that with a little love will work just fine for a few more years. Don't get me wrong when i say this, because i was one of the students that was on the road or in the stadium every friday night to watch our boys play, but if they wouldnt have spent so much money on the new satdium and put some of that money toward fixing up the school things would have been better. MPS also needs to focus more on finding new and better teachers than some of the ones they have. For instance on the night of the parents showing of HSM the spanish teacher who was the sponsor for the musical stormed out of the building because the students handed her a letter requesting her to allow a parent of 2 moberly graduates to help with the play. Gina is a sweetheart who all the children love and they wanted her there to help and yes her youngest did graduate last year but all throughout high school we all looked to her as a second mom and her name to us was "Mama Gina" she helped with every chior band and musical, anything she was needed for she was the with a smile on her face willing to help, and for a teacher to get pissy and storm out because of something like that leaving a whole bunch of teenagers to put on a production by themseleves backstage needs to be repremanded.

i also heard the band teacher Mr. Perry also broke a middle school students finger> the student had sprained herr finger and was told not to use it, Perry proceded to take herr to the office and jerk herr finger around real hard say "look she's faking she can she's faking!' and the students finger broke> this isn't the first issuse with him he also has ripped the intercom off of the BRAND NEW bandroom wall because the office interupted his class by paging a student. The man was my band teacher a few years ago and henhas some anger issues. he is also very rude toward cetian sections of the band especially the percussion section he has went as low as telling them they will make nothing out of themselves just because of the instrument they choose to play.

Some people don't like "mama Gina". She needs to shut her pie hole and sit in the audiance like all the good parents. And her snot daughters can sit right beside her. Has she had a back ground check ? We do this for teachers to be around our children. You can't just leting every busy body parent in to help !

Daily Horoscope for December 8

Libra

Get organized because that's the best way to be productive today. You're eager to be as efficient and practical as possible, but you won't get very far if you don't know what to do first. So draw up a list of priorities and start with the most urgent. Ideally, you should be left to your own devices while you do all this because that will aid your concentration and self-confidence.
