Congratulations to all the rocks, bushes and trees that stood tall, looking their best, to achieve the award.
However, one has to wonder about how much taxpayer money went into the effort and the attendance of 500+ people (as reported elsewhere) at the conference.

Great job by Fran Land and the TMS Byway crew...
The Byway is an important tourism resource for Grant and Catron Counties -- and benefits Silver City as well.... Forty percent of the folks who come to Silver City (2007 data) report that they came at least in part to see the Cliff Dwellings and Byway... so we all benefit.

now you go tell! It's been there all along and I loved it. So peaceful and serene. I guess those days are counted but if you take a drive down there, you'll see for yourself.
