In the Dutch language, the letter v is pronounced as fe and so veld, a Dutch word, would be correctly pronounced as feld.
South Africa was ruled over by the Dutch colonists until recently.
rabbee: well i have been to several Deutch Hops, but never heard that. but i do know that the w, is pronounced like a v. because of vich vay, iz the menz room? and they worship, somebody called yesus. and then looked at me, as if puzzeled when i tried to say something in german. and then said someting, i suppose a correction laughingly. hard to tell, while they were laughing.

HughBe--- I have repeatedly TOLD YOU but you are not understanding it. I am using "special" in precisely the same way that YOU used it. Now if you understand your meaning then you should no difficulty in understanding my ANSWER.
Hint: try substitution

Former---I don't do riddles.

HughBe--- It is not a riddle, the hint was given because you are NOT understanding.

HughBe --The other part about "believe the way you believe" is NEW. What exactly are you talking about, is it tithing?

Former---No. I refer to your religious beliefs.

HughBe--- list my beliefs that you referred to.

HughBe--- Who introduced you to atheism?

Former--Being introduced to atheism is like being introduced to not liking ice cream.

HughBe--- explain. Should I take it that everybody likes ice cream?

Former--I was raised Catholic and turned away as a teenager.

HughBe--- luck you. Great freedom.

Former---Do you consider yourself to be a good Christian?

Former---What is the name of your religion?

HughBe--- Some call it Christianity

Former--Who only some?

HughBe--- What is the number or percentage that you get from my some?

Former--Fewer than 100%. Is it a controversial movement?

HughBe--- good answer. I have no idea.

Former---Do you believe in Christ the Lord, son of God?

HughBe--- I believe in Jesus, the Christ, the Being who BECAME the Son of God, the CREATOR of this world and all that is in it.

Former--You sound like a Christian to me.

HughBe--- good for you.

Former--The trilogy?

HughBe--- I take it that you mean TRINITY which is NOT the same as TRILOGY. Lesson: TRILOGY is a SERIES of 3 whereas TRINITY is 3.

Former--I misspoke. Typical atheist.

HughBe--- There is no disgrace in not knowing.:D

Former---Do you tithe? How much $?

HughBe--- No and obviously NO for the second question.

Former---You do not offer any sort of financial support for the church to which you belong?

HughBe--- Cite my words that confused you and led you to such a unfounded question.

Former--You either contribute financially to your church or you don't/

HughBe--- And you consider your utterance above as QUOTING my words. YOU were asking about TITHING and not about financial contributions.

HughBe---

Why do you ask? Do you want to know how much to tithe?
What is tithing?
Who should collect tithes?
Is it rabbis or LEVITICAL priests?
Suppose tithe means a tenth, do you think that collecting a tenth and renaming it changes the fact that you are collecting money fraudulently?
I do not belong to any church or religion.

Former---The subject of tithing is purely academic for me.

HughBe--- what prompted the question on tithing?

rabbee: what no, pink salmon, kokanee or turkey bacon? my main diet, consists of bread/matza, vegetables, fruit, dairy and meat(chicken, fish, turkey, lamb, beef). like i say, i am mainly a meat eating vegetarian. and the beef, is mostly used as a flavoring for the veges. or on rare occasions, spegetti and meat balls. and from friday morning till saturdy morning, soup and sandwitch untill Shabbat is ended in Ysrael. but my main staple, is bread. so everything else it eat, is just something i eat with bread. face it what good, is lochs and sour cream without bagels?

HughBe--- Not only am I holier than you but I am sweeter in smell.
Before I deal with the remainder of your amusing post, please identify the questions that I have asked that have GREATLY upset YOU.
My guess is that it is the last one or number 4.
1.What is tithing?
2.Who should collect tithes?
3.Is it rabbis or LEVITICAL priests?
4.Suppose tithe means a tenth, do you think that collecting a tenth and renaming it changes the fact that you are collecting money fraudulently?
Frijoles---Living in Jamaica you dont have the infrastructure maintenance costs, and plus your standard and cost of living is amazingly low.
HughBe--- List the items that you call, "infrastructure maintenance costs"
Do you think that we have service in trees?
Frijoles---Plus your churches probably dont have social service components.
HughBe--- What an IDIOTIC utterance
Frijoles--heck you probably RECEIVE aid.
HughBe---But not from YOU.
Frijoles---Therefore you probably dont have to be concerned with raising revenue to keep your organizations like we do in the states.
HughBe--- It is an indictment on your education system that someone with a PhD could be so DUNCE.

maintaining the infrastructure. Is that any clearer?

Seriously, you dont have to worry about heat. Thats a big cost. Plus you probably have thinner buildings for the same reason.
And on top of that, most likely, you have tinier buildings being that you are poor and third worldish - but that is my guess

Gee - then why is Jamaica a recipient of US government aid, and why do churches here in the US send people down to Jamaica to build stuff and hand out money???
