You would think that if this is reoccurring issue, The gov't would fix the bridge to handle such flooding events and maybe consider developing an alternate route for safety and rescue efforts. But i know, thats too complicated for our Gov't. Lets waste more money in Iraq instead!

...was it the high bridge at the bottom of the Grapevine camp site or further up closer to the end of the road?
Two branches of the Gila converge under the high bridge @ Grapevine.
We still call the stretch of road decending to Grapevine as "smoking brakes hill".
