The owner was an idiot and did not pay the rent for 6 months.Apparently there was some damage on the roof and the owner with the property manager had a dispute of who is going to cover that expanse.

Bring back Wilt Chamberlain's, a unique version of family restaurant, for the kids and for the families.
Is there not another Basketball or sports hero out there to take this on?

I worked there for 4 years (2001-2005). When the Greeks owned it (Mike and George) it was AWESOME. I love love loved it. The food was alright, the kitchen was again, just alright, but it was a blast. Yes, the Boca mom's were snotty and they definitely often used Wilt's as free babysitting (I am talking about the mom's that let their kids literally run rampid through the restaurant). I have spilled many a trays of drinks b/c of terror kids. But when the new owners came in, I don't even remember their names, and they were doing coke in the bathroom, I knew that the place was going down hill. Nora, Mark and Brent were the managers and they were good. Lu Lu was the head chef and HE WAS THE BEST!!!! Miss you Lu Lu. But those damn owners. Regardless of who's fault it was, this is a good case of Karma. Do coke in the bathroom and don't be suprised when your investment goes to the toilet.

Yes, Boca has many sports bars. And that's part of the problem! Where can you go eat, watch a game and have your kids enjoy themselves playing video games. The old Wolfies would make a great spot for another Wilt's!

There is a holiday coming up that might involve costumes.

A retailer might want to use a spot for a month or so without owning it needlessly the rest of the year.

I'm sure it's not supposed to be permanent.

I'm kinda surprised it lasted this long, to be honest. I live near it, and I cannot recall the last time I went in and it wasn't nearly deserted. I suppose that might have been just chance, though.
