Hearing to determine if owners will lose pit bulls
A judge could decide today whether James Reed will be allowed to keep 29 pit bulls that a sheriff's deputy seized after busting an alleged dogfighting ring.

Hopefully the Judge will allow the dogs to be adopted into rehabilitative homes. Pit Bulls have a bad reputation as a breed, more often than not its the owners who do not train them properly or worse, train them to fight, bite and even kill...there should be rules in place limiting the amount of animals that a person can own, taking into account the amount of acreage and housing they have, maybe that would cut down on neglect and cruelty cases as well...a good place to start enforcement would be Monturra...
