United States: Everglades Restoration Plan Shrinks

As part of the restoration they have dug out millions of pounds of rock and sand off of U.S. Hwy. 27.The government should be monitoring were all those minerals are going because it is worth a fortune. The person incharge of the Everglades Restoration budget, should be selling these minerals to other goverment agentcies/projects (hoover dike, road projects, ect...) to provide more money for the restoration. I hope that the tax payers are not paying these companies to dig these minerals out and then paying them again to haul the minerals away like it is trash.
