who's brillant idea was it to spray and destroy the nesting tree on the canal off Flaghole, leaving no cover or shelter for the little white cranes and the black bird..yes I am one of those people I get it,but the parents try to protect them from the rain the wind and other animals...Why do we always have to destroy everything..they could have left the bushey tree alone..I drive by and my heart goes out to the birds..I know they are just birds, but they are not just birds to me..

I agree and was wondering the same thing...its amazing that they are still nesting it...next year they should leave it alone, rope it off and let nature enthusiasts enjoy the view...its an amazing sight, and up close and really wonderful for picture taking...isnt Clewiston part of the "Birders Trail"? You should contact the Chamber of Commerce and see if they can do something about it...people drawn to the area to view and photograph sight such as this will ultimately stop and spend some money in the area...just a thought...
