Poppy's has done an injustice to the West siders who loved Dante's. They turned a great place to eat, dance, and meet up with friends (new & old) into another Sports Bar & Japanese restaurant!!! What a joke. They couldn't even come up with a good name. We want Dante's and the great bands back.

What does Terry in MN know. I work nearby and visit Poppy's often for business lunches, I have taken my family to the Japenese Steakhouse which has an incredible sushi bar and hibachi grill- but if you want bar food- they have that too. The DJ is great, and dancing is alive and well on the weekends. I saw a strong band- recording artist Danny Frazier Band- so, again, what is Terry's beef???

Poppys is still alive with great entertainment !!! DJ on friday and Great bands on Saturday. Thursdays you have dance lessons from 730 to 830 , and free dancing after that !! The Japanese steakhouse is very entertaining and better than benihana!! Dont Knock it till you try it!!!!

I went there at the request of a friend to see a band called Double Dare. I was blown away by the service, both in the restaurant and the bar. The band was incredible, but the singer, who was very good vocally, messed up the words to some rock classics on almost every song. It became funny after a while to hear what he would make up. The steak house was awesome and the chef, very entertaining. The manager of both, Mike was courteous, thankful and very accommodating.
I recommend this establishment to all who enjoy a good meal, quality service, and fair prices. Had a great time.
