1. English 101: the ordinance affects, not effects the pay...

2. How do you get promoted when you are the only member of the police force? Do you have to salute yourself in the mirror :-)

Hmmm, reading and comprehension........ It didn't say he was the only Officer on the department. It said he didn't get a 3 % increase that all employees got, because he got a 3% increase in pay a few months earlier, due to his promotion from Officer to Corporal. Not getting the 3% that everyone else got negated his promotional pay raise and put him right where he would have been had he not been promoted at all a few months before. So, the town council was trying to make sure his promotion also came with a pay raise. When everyone got 3% he didn't.

Regardless, either Barney Fiffe or Buford Pusser, when given a raise for a promotion, that should not affect an approved cost of living raise. I am curious of the channels followed which denied the raise to begin with.

Now Don, get out there and find somebody you can hassle.

Now that Ted is not there Im sure Governor John will be perfect. He is going to enact a law that says if you are a republican and you get stopped by the state police or the local friendly officer, you can just simply say you voted republican and the good officer will let you go. no questions asked. the other thing that gov john will do is provide free lunch money for us all to buy groceries, free tv, free gas, free donuts with an occasional T-bone steak for good behavior and see everything is wonderful now. no more liberals to harass us and not support the troops, because we want to show our flag and support the troops USA USA USA. now am i making sense or did i not get the memo from fake news i mean fox news... yeah that is it.

Give the guy his due. The raise in pay for promotion should have no effect on an all department COLA increase. This guy has to support his family too. This is the first time I ever heard of politicans doing the right thing and that was the most surprising thing about this article.

According to their website they have four officers. A corporal, sergeant, lieutenant. I'm wondering who actually does the work?

Considering this village went from nearly zero crime to being worse than most of cincinnatis neighborhoods in matter of couple years we def need more police or at least a cop who will actually do something about the crime dope and burglaries are rampant good place to live if u wanna do whatever u want and get away with it

Thiese cops are worthless. Do nothing about the meth, robberies, etc. Dirty needles line main and sit in piles near the street. Doped out toothless crackheads and their honey boo boo offspring walk out in front of you and claim you about hit them. This place is embarrassing.

Where are the local RVO's (revenue enhancement officers)? Why they're out writing their 40th ticket of the day. When a town gets like this they need to be investigated by the state.
