What a real bummer. I wish people would voice their feelings before a vote so those issues could be addressed. There was very poor turnout at the public meetings where questions were answered.
Why would people vote to build two recreation centers where they still have to pay to use them and not vote yes to a library system where all services are free to all residents?
I challenge all people to post their feelings both positive and negative on this blog.

Library services = Free?

Yet the citizens encounter a Tax Hike to pay for them.

Humm ...perhaps our definitions of FREE differ?

Exactly "Bones". No matter what the "freebie" is, somebody, somewhere, has to pay for it. In this case, the whole county, rather than those that use the service.
In this day and age, the library (like myself), is somewhat of a dinosaur. The internet tends to put a whole new twist on the discussion.
This issue might need to be looked at like a toll road. I put into Okla. turnpikes based on my use (which is very little). Christian Co. should come up with a plan to pay for their plan by those that actually use that plan.

A bookmobile helps avenue a lot of children.
It's the children that really need this resource and they need it in the younger years.

"fly", you need to check some spelling. I believe when he played center for the Bucks, he spelled his name Lew. That "jabeer" thing isn't working either.
