Addison was a great family friend and wonderful percussionist instructor. He has influenced the lives of many of his students, friends, and family. He will be greatly missed!

It was a suicide. Apparently Add had been battling deep depression over the past few years. Shocking to say the least.

Is there more information on how he became depressed and how he committed suicide? I would be interested in knowing the fully story.. A very sad tragedy for everyone and incredibly shocking indeed. Best wishes for the family and hope they cope well.

When I heard that Addison had "been found dead" I couldn't believe it. We had worked together a couple of times and he lived on the other side of my vast neighborhood. I never would have guessed he battled depression (but isn't that the case for most who are truly hurting?). It's a sad commentary on our times and south florida in particular that one could lose a collegue, neighbor, and parent of children who attend the same school as yours - and yet you hear nothing (until months later!). The theatre will miss you Addison. I will miss the few times I ran into you jogging (you had just started), carpooling to the Cuillo, most of all sitting behind those drums. God bless you and may your soul have found a new happy place.

Can't believe this. I searched for Random Access and Addison Quartet to track him down. So very sad. I hadn't seen him since I left FL in "92. Great musician.
