This Mayor if not stopped will bankrupt this City. I was told by a City employee that a sales tax increase, that was defeated at the ballot box last year is on the next Council meeting agenda. this insanity must stop now.

Sad part is that he is wanting to use tax payer money to raise the property value of his buddies land and most people in Lebanon act as if they are not even concerned,to me this a conspiracy to defraud the citizen's of Lebanon,if this was a profitable venture the land owners would not want someone else to build it.

There s a lot of money owed to the banks, for the property they want to donate to the city for the events center, ole Craighead don't wont the citizens to find that out. How can you donate land to the city when you still owe about 3 million dollars on that property? I call that fraud. maybe someday people that live here will wake up and see whats going on, but I doubt they ever will.

That is a point that I did not know! How can you donate land that you do not own?? I am no lawyer but that should be a red flag for everyone that Phillip Craighead is trying to pull a wool over everyone's eyes.

Surely this will not pass. I must agree this guy needs to be sent home. Please tell me that more taxes aren't headed our way from this guy!

ole Phil , has the sales tax back on the agenda for this Tuesdays council meeting. Going to tell everyone to vote and pass and he will lower your property taxes. Just raised your property taxes this year, he said city has 2 million dollar shortfall and after he broke tie to pass property tax, the audit showed there was no shortfall So what does that tell you. He will stop at nothing to break this city and its citizens all he needs is 3 votes and he can break tie, and he has 3 council members that will do whatever he wants. This is so sad..

It would be absurd to bye in to a promise of (I'll lower your taxes if you vote for more taxes.) He has the ability I assume to raise them right back next year. I am so opposed to this and will share it with my council member.

I have already called my council person, I would hope everybody that cares about this city would call theirs. It will be a sad day if we the people don't stand and fight this. I guarantee the mayor will have all his cronies there to make speeches about how this will be the greatest thing for our city. It will be same ole bunch that always talk and act like those who are against this are fools.

Nashville cant support their convention center and their own pro hockey team. How does anybody think Lebanon can. this is just propaganda by the mayor to increase property values in that area. He wants the taxpayers to foot the bill please don't let him insult your intelligents Check out all the towns that have done these types of centers and you will find out that they all failed.
