Why Is CLEVELAND BANNER Constantly Promoting WatchTower CULT?

What's the deal with the CLEVELAND BANNER recently constantly promoting the WATCHTOWER CULT?

Did the Owner or the Publisher of the Cleveland Banner recently convert to the Jehovah's Witness Cult? Did the Editor of the Cleveland Banner recently convert to the Jehovah's Witness Cult?

If you don't know the answers to these questions, please forward this TOPIX thread to your local Minister or Church Deacon, because they probably know the answers, and might be willing to post the answers here.

I'm also wondering whether there are actually any Tennessee natives who attend the Cleveland Tennessee Kingdom Hall?

Here is a list of recent CLEVELAND BANNER articles which are supposedly about people of local interest, who just so happen to be members of the WatchTower Cult. Notice that most of the articles deceptively include remark after remark promoting the beliefs and practices of the WatchTower Cult.

There are also a number of other articles authored by William Wright which do not mention "Jehovah's Witnesses" by name, but deceptively promote the teachings of the WatchTower Cult.

In May 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the work of WatchTower Cult Organizers, Moises Gonzalez and Keyla Gonzalez.

In April 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the business interests of a local Jehovah's Witness named Frank Smickle.

In April 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the work of WatchTower Cult Organizers, Alonzo Hagan and Arnetta Hagan.

In May 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the work of WatchTower Cult Organizer, Ninoska Lory Firpo.

In January 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the work of WatchTower Cult Organizers, Timothy Bailey and Jackie Bailey, and their children.

In November 2011, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting José Hernandez, a local Hispanic WatchTower Cult Recruit.

In August 2011, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the work of WatchTower Cult Organizers, George Mayborn and Gladys Mayborn, and their children.

In April 2011, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the foreign missionary work of a local Jehovah's Witness named Emily Owens.

In January 2011, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting Marty Cross and Jeni Cross -- a local WatchTower Cult Elder, and his wife, at the Cleveland Tennessee Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

In March 2010, the CLEVELAND BANNER published a lengthy article promoting the life story of the mother of local WatchTower Cult Elder Harold Haddock at the Benton Tennessee Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

If anyone happens to run into the Editor or Publisher of the CLEVELAND BANNER, would you please ask them why Readers are allowed to post COMMENTS on all the newspaper's articles EXCEPT for the articles about the WatchTower Cult???

In the mid 1930s, the Watch Tower Society started forbidding Jehovah's Witnesses to salute the American Flag, or recite the Pledge Of Allegiance, or stand for the playing of the National Anthem, or engage in any other patriotic activity. Jehovah's Witnesses were taught to tell the news media, courts, and other outsiders that the American Flag is a false idol, and doing any of the aforementioned activities is performing "worship" to a false idol. This "public relations" reasoning is actually the LEAST of all the reasons that Jehovah's Witnesses refuse to engage in any patriotic or political activities. This secondary, ancillary reasoning was developed because the WatchTower Society did not dare to have its Jehovah's Witness members running around repeating for the news media and courtroom judges the PRIMARY doctrine on this subject, which would outrage the American public.

What Jehovah's Witnesses intentionally do NOT publically explain to non-JWs is that the Watch Tower Society teaches Jehovah's Witnesses that the Government of the United States is governing ILLEGITIMATELY. The Watch Tower Society teaches that the Government of the United States is under the control of Satan the Devil as his partner in Satan's universal rebellion against GOD. The Watch Tower Society teaches that GOD granted humans the authority to rule the earth only for a period of 2520 years -- starting in 607 B.C. and ending in October, 1914 A.D.  The Watch Tower Society teaches that in October, 1914, the authority to rule the earth reverted back to GOD, and that He then formed a heavenly government to rule the earth -- with Jesus Christ as King. The Watch Tower Society teaches that in 1919 that Jesus Christ selected the Watch Tower Society as his sole earthly representative of that heavenly government.  The Watch Tower Society teaches that the Government of the United States (as well as all other governments), is its' enemy, because it has failed to surrender governmental power that rightfully belongs to the Watch Tower Society.

These are the ACTUAL reasons that the Watch Tower Society forbids its Jehovah's Witness members to support the government of the United States -- no voting, no holding political office, no professing citizen loyalty via the Pledge of Allegiance or standing for the National Anthem, no joining the military to protect the United States, etc.  Jehovah's Witnesses do not profess to be "pacifists".  They claim to be "neutrals".  JWs consider themselves to be "citizens" of the government supposedly formed in heaven in 1919, and that they are only "resident aliens" of the United States. The Watch Tower Society teaches that Armageddon will occur "soon", and at the Battle of Armageddon, that Jesus Christ and his heavenly armies will destroy the armies and governments of the United States, and of all other countries -- including all people who did not convert to the Jehovah's Witnesses. Jehovah's Witnesses look forward to the day when they will rule the planet.

Currently, the Watch Tower Cult tells JWs not to forcefully oppose the United States, or other governments.  Given their fanatical beliefs as to what they have to gain, one can only speculate what would happen if the Watch Tower Cult ever told JWs otherwise.

The CLEVELAND BANNER obviously likes publishing stories PROMOTING the WATCHTOWER CULT OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

However, does the CLEVELAND BANNER ever publish stories about the WATCHTOWER CULT which are less than flattering?

Just this past week, somewhere between 100-200 newspapers across the United States published news reports detailing how, on Thursday, June 14, 2012, the WATCHTOWER CULT OF JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES had just become the subject of the LARGEST JURY VERDICT EVER in the United States FOR A SINGLE VICTIM OF CHILD SEX ABUSE AGAINST A RELIGIOUS ORGANIZATION.

Those media articles reported the story of a 9 year-old Jehovah's Witness Girl who was repeatedly sexually molested by a fellow Jehovah's Witness congregant and one-time Ministerial Servant, who was known to the organization to have been previously convicted on child molestation charges. However, that fact had been kept a SECRET from the victim, her parents, and other regular members of their congregation due to the secrecy policies issued from WATCHTOWER CULT Headquarters in Brooklyn, New York.

The California civil court jury was so disgusted with WATCHTOWER CULT's internal policies that it not only granted a large civil damages award against the Perpetrator, but the jury also granted a $21 MILLION DOLLARS PUNITIVE DAMAGES AWARD -- stacked on top of an approximate $2 MILLION DOLLARS ACTUAL DAMAGES AWARD -- against WATCHTOWER CULT HEADQUARTERS.

The Associated Press sent out an article about this story to all its affiliates. The CLEVELAND BANNER is an AP affiliate, is it not?

Did the CLEVELAND BANNER also run a story about this same court decision that the other newspapers were reporting? If so, I can't locate such.

Did Cleveland, Tennessee's own "Reverend" Wright sue the CLEVELAND BANNER, and WIN --- either via a court decision or an out-of-court settlement that requires the BANNER to publish X number of William Wright's sophomoric ramblings?

Why else would the CLEVELAND BANNER publish yet another one of "Reverend" William Wright's nonsensical articles, which would grade out at around a "D" in a high school English composition class --- and that from a sympathetic teacher.

The 6/27/2012 CLEVELAND BANNER article authored by the Jehovah's Witness "Reverend" Wright is so poorly composed that I can barely force myself to re-read it again for critique. Reading Wright's ramblings are like listening to nails on a chalkboard.
"Reverend" William Wright's rambling article is nothing but yet another excuse for him to introduce WATCHTOWER CULT teachings into the pages of the BANNER.

As "Reverend" Wright has been taught in the Watchtower Cult's Theocratic Ministry School, Wright initially attempts to capture his audience's attention by using a "current event" --- the same-sex marriage controversy.

Foreseeably, "Reverend" Wright barely says anything significant about the same-sex marriage controversy before jumping into the REAL message of this BANNER article --- a watered down Watchtower Cult sermon on biblically forced "love".

Given our recent criticism of the CLEVELAND BANNER, and the BANNER's Editorial Staff, for allowing "Reverend" Wright to covertly introduce Watchtower Cult theology into the pages of the BANNER, Wright and the BANNER's Editors likely anticipated that we would avoid criticizing an article about "love", or better yet, that we would look foolish for doing so.

If that was their plan, they failed. As has already been pointed out, there is more than enough about this article to criticize without going into "Reverand" Wright's "take" on "forced love", and the Cult teachings that William Wright deceitfully does NOT relate.

Amusingly, "Reverend" Wright quotes from a variety of non-Watchtower Bible translations, rather than the Watchtower Cult's own NEW WORLD (mis)TRANSLATON. Yeh, "Reverend" Wright, that slick manuever really threw us off the scent (stench) trail.

More deceitfully, when "Reverend" Wright proclaims that "millions of true Christians are showing genuine love to people of all races and nationalities, regardless of their social or sexual background, because this is what God is asking them to do, Readers should know that the "millions of true Christians" to whom William Wright is referring are "Jehovah's Witnesses".
"Reverend" Wright's Watchtower Cult teaches that the Cult is the world's "only true religion", and ONLY Jehovah's Witnesses are "true Christians".

An even more amusing event would be to take a poll of one-time Readers and ask them whether this article advocates same-sex marriage, opposes same-sex marriage, or is neutral on the topic --- as "Reverand" Wright deceitfully attempts to claim. In all probability, most readers don't have a clue.

Interested Readers should google key terms relating to Jehovah's Witnesses and homosexuals, and read what the Watchtower Cult really and truly teaches on this topic. Readers will then realize that what we have pointed out about "Reverand" Wright is SPOT ON.

Local CLEVELAND TENNESSEE residents should call down to the CLEVELAND BANNER and ask "Reverand" Wright how many PRACTICING JEHOVAH'S WITNESS HOMEOSEXUALS live in the United States. After a probable five minutes of even more nonsensical rambling, the caller will get the same answer from "Reverand" Wright that the reporter got who asked President Ahmadinejad how many practicing homosexuals lived in Iran.

The difference between "Reverend" Wright and President Ahmadinejad is that at least you can figure out where Ahmadinejad stands.

This past week, August 8, 2012, the CLEVELAND BANNER once again published another DECEPTIVE ARTICLE authored by Cleveland Tennessee's own "angel of light" -- Reverend William Wright.

Following "standard operating procedure", Reverend Wright once again picks a seemingly "current event" for the topic of his article, BUT then uses that "current event" as an EXCUSE to promote his own WATCHTOWER CULT.

In this latest article, "Angel of Light Wright" starts out his article by criticizing the newly published "The Voice", which is a alternative Bible version written in a screenplay format. Reverend Wright attempts several ridiculous criticisms which presuppose that a serious Bible student would rely on "The Voice" as their sole reference to the Holy Scriptures --- to the exclusion of all other Bible translations.

Reverend Wright makes this ludicrous assumption so that Wright can introduce into his article his just-as-ridiculous assertion that the WATCHTOWER CULT's own "NEW WORLD TRANSLATION" is the MOST ACCURATE BIBLE TRANSLATION available. As supposed "proof", "Angel of Light Wright" quotes one of the few university professors having anything good to say about the Bible version known amongst the vast majority of Bible scholars as "THE NEW WORLD MISTRANSLATION".

The JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES at the CLEVEAND BANNER once again demonstrate that the ONLY way that the WATCHTOWER CULT can find a "listening ear" is by DECEIVING their audience.

Why should you only be concerned about one religion. ALL CHRISTIANITY IS A CULT!!! From the day I moved to this town, every person I've met that claims to be a man of god is a racist, cheating, lying, piece of trash. Every church in this town blames another religion for being a culture. Little known fact Hitler brainwashed his followers to all hate one religion. I'm so tired of everywhere I go in this town seeing everyone being as ungodly as possible. So while you accuse jehovah's witnesses of being a cult. Take a look at yourself in the mirror, and realize you're doing what your Bible says NOT to do. And that's judge others.

The CLEVELAND BANNER's own Jehovah's Witness "Reverend WRONG" has once again followed WATCHTOWER CULT directives to capitalize on any and every TRAGEDY to promote the CULT's continuously repeating 130 year-old failed prophecy that "Armageddon" will happen sometime in the next few days or weeks.

This time, in the December 19, 2012 issue of the CLEVELAND BANNER, the BANNER's own "angel of light", Reverend Wright, EXPLOITS the recent Sandy Hook school shooting tragedy
as an opportunity to ONCE AGAIN deceitfully introduce a decades-old WATCHTOWER SERMON OUTLINE into the pages of the CLEVELAND BANNER.

As a door-knocking Jehovah's Witness Child, back in the 1960s, I was taught to use this same WATCHTOWER SERMON OUTLINE to EXPLOIT whatever was the latest TRAGEDY in the news as a DOOR-OPENER in order to get homeowners to listen to our REAL MESSAGE --- that Armageddon was going to occur in October 1975.

As a Jehovah's Witness Child in the WATCHTOWER CULT, I was taught to memorize the CULT's "New World Translation" version of three primary Bible verses.

I opened my door-to-door WATCHTOWER SERMON with 2 Timothy 3:1-5 to supposedly prove that "Latest Tragedy" is proof that "today" is the Biblically prophesied "Last Days".

Next, I quoted Psalms 37:10-11 and Revelation 21:4 to "prove" that a "paradise earth" was Biblically prophesied as the remedy for this "latest tragedy".

My WATCHTOWER SERMON then ended with me pulling out copies of the WATCHTOWER CULT's two magazines, WATCHTOWER and AWAKE in hopes that the homeowner wanted to know more about how they too could become one of "Jehovah's Witnesses", who were the only people Jesus was NOT going to kill at Armadeddon, and allow to live in His paradise earth.

As in past articles, the CLEVELAND BANNER does everything but tell its readers that they must join the WATCHTOWER CULT if they don't want Jesus to kill them at Armageddon, and at least, Reverend "Wrong-Way" does not offer readers copies of the WATCHTOWER magazine. He will do that the next time he and his "friends" knock at your door.

CITIZENS of Cleveland Tennessee should know that the CLEVELAND BANNER is not the only supposedly "local Newspaper", which is actually owned by out-of-state corporate owners, whose political and religious affiliations are unknown and undisclosed.

I think you better get your facts straight. Jehovah's Witnesses will never rule the earth. That is left to Jesus, until he turns it over to his and our heavenly father, Jehovah. That's why the earth is in the situation it is today, MAN rules the earth. And Jeremiah 10:23 is as true today as when it was written in 580 BCE

On June 9, 2013, the CLEVELAND DAILY BANNER published the following article:

Jehovah’s Witnesses to hold district conventions in Dalton

District conventions of Jehovah’s Witnesses are planned for the NorthWest Georgia Trade and Convention Center arena in Dalton, Ga.

English sessions are June 14 through 16, June 21 through 23 and July 26 through 28.

Sessions for Spanish speakers will be held June 28 through 30, July 5 through 7 and July 19 through 21.

The theme for the program is “God’s Word is Truth!” The talk on Sunday, 11 a.m., will be “What is Truth?” The program will examine the reasons God’s Word — the Bible — can be trusted.

Two dramatic plays featuring Bible stories and their lessons to life will be presented Friday at 3:20 p.m. and Sunday at 1:25 p.m.

Admission is free. No collection will be taken.

For more information, visit www.jw.org/en/jehovahswitnesses/conventions/ .

---END ARTICLE---

Topix Readers should understand that ALL LOCAL JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES have known that these WATCHTOWER CULT CONVENTIONS are being held this summer in Dalton since they were held there last summer.

Local Jehovah's Witnesses were required to make their Reservations back in January 2013.

SO, THEN, WHY IS IT NECESSARY THAT THE CLEVELAND BANNER PUBLISH THIS INFORMATION IF EVERYONE PLANNING TO ATTEND THESE CONVENTIONS HAS ALREADY RECEIVED THE PERTINENT INFO FROM THEIR LOCAL KINGDOM HALL?

Isn't this just another example of the CLEVELAND BANNER gratuitously promoting the WATCHTOWER CULT?

On January 23, 2013, the CLEVELAND DAILY BANNER yet once again published another article written by EDITOR WILLIAM WRIGHT, entitled "WRIGHT WAY: Religious freedom on trial?", in which WRIGHT once again UNDERHANDEDLY and DECEITFULLY starts out mentioning other religious groups, but then quickly switches to his REAL TOPIC -- JEHOVAH'S WITNESSES.

This CLEVELAND BANNER article is actually an opportunity for Jehovah's Witness Minister, William Wright, to boast about a EUROPEAN COURT CASE which his WATCHTOWER CULT won against THE GOVERNMENT OF FRANCE over a TAX SQABBLE.

Why would a local community - small town newspaper want to publish an original non-AP article covering a WATCHTOWER CULT court case in Europe unless it is doing so as that Newspaper's long-standing policy to publish any news whatsoever which PROMOTES THE WATCHTOWER CULT?

IS THIS REALLY THE NEWS COVERAGE THAT CLEVELAND RESIDENTS, SUBSCRIBERS, AND ADVERTISERS WANT THEIR MONEY SPENT ON?

Well, REVEREND WRONG is at it again. The May 28, 2014 issue of the CLEVELAND BANNER contains yet another article promoting a couple of JEHOVAH'S WITNESS MINISTERS -- this time two out-of-country Hispanics -- something of which Cleveland no doubts needs many more.

Reverend Wrong entitled his article, "Hispanic couple working to make a difference", but if you actually take the time to read this drivel, you discover that the only thing these new Hispanics are doing is proselytizing amongst the other local Hispanics in order to convert them to the WATCHTOWER CULT.
