Are all antique shops in Lebanon as rude as the first one off the interstate?

My wife and I were traveling through yesterday and found the quaint town of Lebabon to enjoy the afternoon. We stopped at the first antique shop off the interstate and were greeted by a nice man offering us popcorn and free cokes. Then, we overheard a lady with red hair behind the counter being really rude with a customer, who turned left their purchase and politely walked out the door. We also turned and left, because her behavior was uncalled for and we didn't want to spend our money where the customer doesn't seem to matter anymore. We did find another shop, across the tracks on maple and were treated with kindness and respect there. Thank you antiques on maple for redeeming our first impression of antiquing in Lebanon...your kindness will be remembered when we travel back to Tennessee in the coming years and hopefully was rewarded yesterday when we spent several hundred dollars in your shop and not only found some great treasure, but a pleasant memory as well!

Cuz on the square is the worst one.... I went in there one time to buy a present for my mother who collects antiques and as soon as I walked in the door the old man asked if I was looking to buy something. I answered well I don't know just gonna look around and see first. He then told me that if I wasn't planning on buying something that I needed to leave. I sure as hell left and haven't bothered to go back since neither has my mother and grandmother who were both regulars in his shop.

I find that hard to believe about Cuz's Antiques. I have known the owners for years and you couldn't ask for better people. Always 2 sides to every story....

My Mom, sister and I went antique shopping today on the square. We went to the Downtown antique mall and The Butter Churn and they were nice. Then we went to the one that is close to the Butter Churn. The sign above the door was missing and the window only said Antiques gifts and more. Don't know the name of the place but I will never be back. I finished looking around and waited on my mom who was looking at cookbooks and my sister was looking at magazines. The woman there came to us, handed my mom her bag, and took the magazine out of my sisters hand like we had done something wrong. So of course we left. I guess we weren't shopping fast enough for her because she was out smoking as soon as we left. I would recommend they fire the thick, white headed old hag because she is chasing off customers. I was thinking about buying a book case and my mom was going to get some cook books.

Yes, I have had a bad experience there recently as well. I used to love that store! I think it used to be called The Screen Door and the people were so nice. That was my favorite store on the square and I always bought something when I went in. There was an older lady that was rude to me as well. I noticed she kept watching me like she thought I was going to steal something. I left and I won't be back. I have had only pleasant experiences at all the other stores in Lebanon.
