It is an unfortunate set of events. Mr. Paterson's reputation as a public servant is so strong and all parties were so happy to see him inaugurated including the public at large. However, if he did use campaign contributions illegally, this needs to be disclosed and evaluated. The timing of these events is also unfortunate as there is so much that needs to be done. Hopefully, there is light at the end of the tunnel as this will send a message to all politicians.

Wall Street was going down the tube, Goveoner Spitzer was working on it, One head line I read "A great cheer arose from Wall Street" when the the story appeared. Seeing what Wall Street has become I think if he was still governor it would have saved the taxpayers yet another bail out like Silverado Saving, a Neal Bush adventure.

Does any one find it strange yjat the republicans took Spitzer out a few days beforethey handed over the purses strings of the tax payers to Wall Street.
What would Elliot have said about Corporate Welfare at its finist.

What a refreshing change. A politician who isn't acting holier than thou and pandering to false piety. Let's give him a chance to get the job done.
