No surprises here... 321/85 must be redesigned. It's a nightmare. The new lane to turn north has helped some but not enough. New Hanover the worst, huh? Isn't that where are dear neighbor Scott Gardner was killed? Lots of DUIs there. Our county must have roads to handle the growth. We need legislators in Raleigh who will fight the road battle for us.

Please note that one of the most dangerous roads listed is Hickory Grove Rd, between Stanley and McAdenville. I would guess that would include part of North Belmont?

I do try to avoid this strech of road, but sometimes I simply have to go to Jim's to buy a delicious frozen pie! Shhh, please don't tell Clara Edwards my little secret,(LOL!)

Yes, Aunt Bee, I know that stretch of road. Part of the problem there is the speed limit and all the side roads and driveways that people pull out of. You've got people walking in the road, dogs crossing the street and kids playing in their front yards kicking balls.

You may have one guy backing out of his driveway and another driver in the passing lane going 60mph. That whole strech of road needs to be a double yellow lane and the speed limit reduced or enforced better.

I try to avoid it if possible, but it's the best way for me to get to Stanley and Dallas.

Yeah, and don't forget the intersection at the Dollar Store with the two lights right on top of each other. Sometimes, the sun can make those lights very hard to see.

I'll have to try Jim's pies, thanks for the tip!
