Having access to health care for everyone is a worthy and ambitious goal. Republikans have constantly and consistently opposed that ambitious and worthy goal . Desiring a subclass of persons who cannot get medical attention is not a worthy goal, is detestable and is also easily achievable since that is what we already have.
So far, the implementation of Obamacare is a miserable demonstration of incompetence. The shutdown of the government and subsequent loss of 24 billion to the economy was a miserable demonstration of incompetence. Now, the idea republikans are trying to perpetuate is that republican incompetence and lack of vision is better than democrat incompetence and hope.
I remain unconvinced. I want to see a plan to fix problems instead of whining about what all is wrong. Whoever can provide that will get my vote, regardless of their political party.
A girl dying of cancer was getting treatments and her insurance was paying for it but Obama care destroy that. Now she has no insurance and no treatments. But that is ok obama and his supporter do not mind killing Americans. As he has proven.

United States public policy has, for generations, reflected the value of national education accessibility by providing school funds for every child, regardless of economic condition. However, public education has, on a remarkable scale, failed to achieve even the basic requirements of the goal to educate every student. Charter schools and voucher programs across the nation have simply worked. In Washington D.C., over 1,600 low-income children participate in the districtÂ’s voucher program at a 91 percent graduation rate, which is a stark contrast when compared to only 41 percent rate of those not participating in the program. Similarly, Hartford, Connecticut has opened the door for school choice and seen impressive results. Students at Capital Prep Magnet School score significantly higher on competency test scores than the nearby public school. Regardless of this success, parents of these children face an unremitting assault from political, special interests, and public school teacher unions. As far as the government is concerned our children are the property of the state.

LOL...You bring on nothing concrete to the table rejecting my statement...only your typical put downs. Come back with facts, or are you incapable of that process? You do recall the Bush years of almost total economic collapse, two unwinnable wars and 10% unemployment, don't you? We are moving forward with job growth and stablizing the economy and your a$$ can't stand the fact that you are always supporting the losing Republican team with no plans for the future, but only being consistant with the middle schooler type jabs at the ones getting the job done. The party of stupid only gets dumber. Bobby Jindal is a very insightful man who exposed the truth about the Republican party. Maybe you Republicans should listen to him for a change.
Please don't feel left out because of your mental impairment. Mental retardation is certainly not being taken serious in this country, this Topix forum attests to this. With a lot of mental rehabilitation in a certified School For The Retarded, maybe someday you'll be able to put on loafers with minimal supervision, like waco. "Both the number of unemployed persons, at 10.9 million, and the unemployment rate, at 7.0 percent, declined in November. Among the unemployed, the number who reported being on temporary layoff decreased by 377,000. This largely reflects the return to work of federal employees who were furloughed in October due to the partial government shutdown.(See tables A-1 and A-11.)

Among the major worker groups, the unemployment rates for adult men (6.7 percent), adult women (6.2 percent), teenagers (20.8 percent), whites (6.2 percent), blacks (12.5 percent), and Hispanics (8.7 percent) changed little in November. The jobless rate for Asians was 5.3 percent (not seasonally adjusted), little changed from a year earlier.(See tables A-1, A-2, and A-3.)

The number of persons unemployed less than 5 weeks declined by 300,000 in November, partially reflecting the return to work of federal employees on furlough in October. The number of long-term unemployed (those jobless for 27 weeks or more) was essentially unchanged at 4.1 million in November. These individuals accounted for 37.3 percent of the unemployed. The number of long-term unemployed has declined by 718,000 over the past 12 months.(See table A-12.)

The civilian labor force rose by 455,000 in November, after declining by 720,000 in October. The labor force participation rate changed little (63.0 percent) in November. Total employment as measured by the household survey increased by 818,000 over the month, following a decline of 735,000 in the prior month. This over-the-month increase in employment partly reflected the return to work of furloughed federal government employees. The employment-population ratio increased by 0.3 percentage point to 58.6 percent in November, reversing a decline of the same size in the prior month.(See table A-1.)

The number of persons employed part time for economic reasons (sometimes referred to as involuntary part-time workers) fell by 331,000 to 7.7 million in November. These individuals were working part time because their hours had been cut back or because they were unable to find a full-time job.(See table A-8.)

In November, 2.1 million persons were marginally attached to the labor force, down by 409,000 from a year earlier.(The data are not seasonally adjusted.) These individuals were not in the labor force, wanted and were available for work, and had looked for a job sometime in the prior 12 months. They were not counted as unemployed because they had not searched for work in the 4 weeks preceding the survey.(See table A-16.)

Among the marginally attached, there were 762,000 discouraged workers in November, down by 217,000 from a year ago.(The data are not seasonally adjusted.) Discouraged workers are persons not currently looking for work because they believe no jobs are available for them. The remaining 1.3 million persons marginally attached to the labor force in November had not searched for work for reasons such as school attendance or family responsibilities.(See table A-16.)"

"Last month, the expected NFP print was 120K, instead we got 204K. Today, the expectations was 185K, while the print, was almost an identical 203K, even as last month's was revised modestly lower to 200K. The unemployment rate dropped from 7.3%, which was also below the 7.2% expected, to only 7.0%. The unemployment rate was derived from a drop in the number of unemployed from 11.3K to 10.9K, while the labor force rose from 153.8K to 155.3K, which also led to a modest bounce in the labor force participation rate which rose from a 35 year low of 62.8% to 63.0%. The number of people not in the labor force declined modestly to 91.3MM from 91.5MM"

Richard Burr, along with Patrick McHenry and John Boehner have stood tall for insider trading. Republikans think that really helps the average working person by lining the pockets of Burr , McHenry and Boehner.

That's real strange since Obamacare doesn't even take effect until Jan 1 2014. Do you make this shit up or just hear something and repeat it? I know you could think better than this when you were young. You should see a doctor and have your blood oxygen content checked.

We agree that we need to dump the free loaders. The only difference is that I want to start with the rich free loaders who are getting 150% more welfare than the poor. I say start with the rich , work your way down and dump them all. You want to jump on the weak ones . I want to start with the rich ones first, then the poor ones will be easy. You must have turned into some kind of bully in your old age. You didn't used to be afraid anyone.

Since the story is obviously false to start with, it will still be false after Jan 1, 2014. If such a thing DOES happen then with a real person/family , yes it will be a problem. None of that changes the FACT that the republikans are spreading BS lies now and that taxpayer is either wittingly or unwittingly spreading ---lies..

If a person chooses to enter a country illegally and brings their family and then can't receive benefits because they're "undocumented", whose fault is that? I believe the fault lies with the parents and not with the country they chose to enter without documentation. Is the U.S. bound to run around and make sure all "undocumented" citizens are receiving benefits their own legal citizens can't? BTW, when and where did all these children die in poverty due to lack of health insurance. Please give some statistics to go with your pie in the sky story.

I watched it. A sad story indeed. Hunter's insurance was cancelled on October 31 and that was because of Obamacare? Or was it a case of and insurance company seizing an excuse to dump an expensive customer liability? Since Obamacare doesn't even start until January 1, 2014, it could not have been because of Obamacare . If it had been, they would have cancelled him on December 31 of this year. So they cancelled him on October 31 because he had another $50,000 dollar chemo treatment scheduled. It may well be true that the same thing WOULD have happened on Jan 1 , I don't know. What I do know is that the insurance companies are screwing the public blind , not because of Obamacare, but because of profits. Thanks for posting a story which proves exactly what I am saying.

I do not think we should provide insurance coverage for illegals at all. I do not think we should provide welfare to the rich either. The goals of Obamacare are commendable but the planning and implementation of it stinks. With cooperation and expertise in our congress, it could have been a smooth transition without all the collateral damage. Republikans want an underclass of persons who cannot have medical attention, therefore all the obstruction and refusal to offer alternate plans or even improvements. Their only goal has been the destruction of Obamacare and they have come close to that achievement. That is why our present congress has achieved nothing. It is the worst congress in the history of the USA in terms of achievement and in terms of petty vindictiveness. I blame republikans as much for our insurance problems as I blame Obamacare.
